While Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are bringing in a sizeable number of donations of under $100, Republicans have been going for the big money, like the huge score Ted Cruz just made from a pair of Texas frackers.
Even so, on July 16, Newsmax made a big deal of Hillary receiving donations from wealthy individuals, with the headline, Hillary Clintons Donations From Hedge Fund Titans Exceed Republicans.
Those Democrats are such elitists! You dont want to be drinking milk when you read these things, at least not without a bib.
And here the Texas Messiah, Ted Cruz, just hauled in $15 million in a single donation from a pair of yes Texas brothers. CNN reports that it amounts to the largest known donation so far in the 2016 presidential campaign.
Well. Bernie gets the people. Cruz gets the dollars.
Contrast that with Sanders. As of the beginning of July, Sanders had 400,000 donations from about 250,000 donors, with an average donation of $33.51. Only 1 percent of those donations an almost exact reversal of the elite group the GOP supports were of more than $250.
The donation to Cruzs Keep the Promise super PAC comes from a pair of fracking profiteers, Farris and Dan Wilks, so its not money any Democrat would want in any case. After all, you cant drink $15 billion. You need clean water for that, and you wont get that anywhere near a fracking site.
The Wilks brothers have, like Ted Cruz, failed to read the United States Constitution. According to CNN, Farris Wilks revealed that,
"Our country was founded on the idea that our rights come from the Creator, not the government. Im afraid were losing that. Unless we elect a principled conservative leader ready to stand up for our values, well look back on what once was the land of opportunity and pass on a less prosperous nation to our children and grandchildren. Thats why we need Ted Cruz."
Actually, the country was founded on the principle that political power derives not from God, or Gods anointed (like Old World kings) but from the people. The Creator many of the Founding Fathers spoke of was not the Christian God of the Bible.
It goes without saying that Farris Wilks is a pastor. If you could find a Republican pastor who has read the Constitution, it would be a genuine biblical miracle.
On the other hand, thats just the kind of support you would expect to see a would-be messiah like Ted Cruz receiving. They stack it high in Texas.
And?
That is a funny article.
Wonder what kind of vehicle he drives to work?
Who do these frackers think they are?
Are they Cork Soaking Motar frackers?
What? No mention of the, ‘Evil Koch Brothers?’
I guess all of their cash is going to Governor Scott Walker’s War Chest.
Walker/Cruz 2016 Cruz/Walker 2016
Makes no nevermind to me. :)
Electric, I’m sure. So that he doesn’t “use any fossil fuels” and all that.
$15 million!! Is that for ANY soul? Or just his? I have some cats here. I’m sure they have souls. What do you reckon they’d fetch?
TEDCRUZSOLDHISSOULFOR $145!!!!!
A hammer from Asgard.
Oy! The chutzpah!
I like the way he doesn’t give details of HRC’s donors, only Bernie Sanders. We could do the same this with Huckabee and Santorum.
"Actually, the country was founded on the principle that political power derives not from God, or Gods anointed (like Old World kings) but from the people. The Creator many of the Founding Fathers spoke of was not the Christian God of the Bible." - liberal response above
In Lib-Land, a mythical country, the "Creator" doesn't give us rights..oh wait, does, but that's a somehow different "Creator".
Face Palm.
The donors sold their business, expect nothing and honor the Lord and our Constitution.
How did Cruz sell his soul? I missed the long hot walk to the delta crossroads with an baking out of tune acoustic trowed over his shoulder.
Good for him!!
I also heard he has FTW tattooed on his arm.
Frack the World!!
Wow.
I know several republican pastors who have in fact read the constitution. I even know one who keeps a copy on his bookshelf.
Not a fan, but I will place Gov. Huckabee among those.
What a loaded up far left piece of tripe.
.
OH the Horror! A TX conservative getting support from TX oilmen. It’s almost as predictable as a far left Code Pink idiot crashing a conservative meeting with a bullhorn.
Almost...
sons a bastages
Foster Friess is backing Santorum again. Friess is an oil man.
Pretty likable down to earth guy in my opinion.
starting with a bad premise and gets worse and worse
The Koch brothers are for open borders and backed that gay marriage lawsuit.
