I’d say the article is stating the obvious, but it is amazing many people believe those lies.
Okay, but what about the 9, 990 lies they don’t list?
People are weak and prone to sin, but that is a different concept than being inherently sinful. If that were true, how could Christ be fully man?
“Belief in the Eastern religious concept of ‘Karma’”
Come on! It’s the only shred of HOPE we have these days! ;)
1. “The spiritually inclusive idea that ‘having faith matters more than what faith you have’”
2. “All faiths are of equal value”
3. “Belief in the Eastern religious concept of ‘karma’”
4. “The dismissal of absolute truth”
5. “Commitment to personal, subjective morality”
6.”The idea that people are ‘basically good’”
7.”Success is determined by happiness, comfort, goodness, or fulfilled potential”
8. “Sexual relations apart from marriage are morally acceptable”
9. “Rejection of the notion that people are inherently sinful”
10. “The purpose of accumulated personal wealth is unrelated to God’s purposes”
The people who supported the Nazis and their death camps had faith in whatever they were doing!
The Inquisitors of the Inquisition had faith in that misguided idealogy--enough faith to establish torture chambers and burn people to death!
The morons who support the evil woke mob have faith in the evil, mendacious propaganda and in their dear leaders who are leading America to destruction.
Religions telling other religions they are no good is a very old story that will never end.
“According to researcher George Barna’s methodology, someone must score 80% on beliefs and behaviors to be categorized as someone with a biblical worldview,” the director of Center for Biblical Worldview, David Closson, told The Washington Stand.”
************************************************************
For some reason, when I get to those Pearly Gates, I kinda doubt I will see either George Barna nor David Closson there checking the Tally Book.
Bkmk
Waiting for the left to call this ‘report’ more of the “Christin Taliban” propaganda.
All I see is more folks walking away from “Organized religion” - mostly from all the bad press.
(shrug) Folks gonna do what folks wanna do - religion rarely enters into it...
The more strongly these deceptions are embraced by some, the more rapidly they will spread to others.
Here’s the money quote
. “In my view, biblical illiteracy is not only rampant in the culture, but also in many churches.”
We’re living near the end of the last church age - the Laodicean Age where Jesus is outside the church knocking for them to let him in.
Around 1900, something happened that had not ever been seen since Noah’s flood - the world (apparently following the Laodicean Church), turned from trusting in God and said basically, “Thanks God, we’ll take it form here.”
What we see today is a product of this mass turning from trusting in God and the inevitable result of trusting in man which carries a curse (Jer. 17:5-8). The answer of course is to turn away from trusting in man and turn back to trusting in the Lord.
Fifty-seven percent of Americans believe in karma. The Eastern notion of karma which says that actions in this life will be rewarded or punished in a future life is not grounded in biblical teaching.
I think most people don't believe this, they hope for Instant Karma.
Besides trolling for clicks and impressions revenue for that web site, is there a reason why you didn’t post the entire article here?
Count me as a no vote on the karma.
A “lie” is a falsehood told with the intent to deceive.
If you believe it there is no intent to deceive and it is at worst a mistake, not a lie.
Good article Sextus
