Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi will represent the United States at Pope Francis’ Inaugural Mass

Vice President Joe Biden, Minority leader Nancy Pelosi, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez and Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia will represent the United States at the Mass of Inauguration for Pope Francis on March 19th, according to the Daily Caller.

I sincerely hope Pope Francis denies Communion to Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. Not because I’m a jerk, but because it’s for their own good.

In order to receive Communion worthily you must 1) be in a state of grace 2) have made a good confession since your last mortal sin 3) believe in transubstantiation 4) observe the Eucharistic fast and 5) not be under an ecclesiastical censure such as excommunication.

Let’s be real. There is no way they will be denied Communion. Ain’t gonna happen. That matters only to a tiny minority of conservative American Catholics.

Way back, when Law was first made Cardinal, he was assigned as priest to a church in Rome, as all Cardinal-priests are. Because he was busy beign an archbishop, a vicar was assigned to cover the parish in his absence, as is the normal case for archbishop cardinals. When Law was forced to step down, he went back to his other job, being priest to the parish in Rome. He served there until he reached the age of retirement, when he was immediately replaced. But he continued to live on the premises.

When Pope Francis arrived, he visited Cdl. Law’s former church. Cdl. Law snuck in to meet with him, angering Pope Francis, who ordered him never to go to that church again, and is kicking him out of the apartment.

Cardinal Wuerl was upbraided by the Archbishop of Saint Louis, Cdl. Burke. Cdl. Wuerl basically told him to mind his own business. Pope Benedict XVI responded by making Cdl. Burke the head of what is essentially the Catholic Supreme Court, where Burke had the authority to publicly declare himself right and Wuerl wrong. Unfortunately, Wuerl has apostolic authority as a bishop, and short of heresy, cannot be removed.

The Catholic vote affects all of us, conservatives care tons about what effect he will have on the catholic vote.

I just researched the John Roberts and Blackmail and they come from an article questioning if there could have been blackmail involved in his vote, as a way to excuse it.

There was nothing at all other than true-believers in Roberts who failed to understand why he voted as he did and speculated that there might be blackmail involved, and then went further to proclaim that the supposed blackmail involved the adoption of his two children.

This article was nothing more than mere questions. Not even a shred of evidence about anything, just a lame attempt to explain away his selling out the pro-life position and his siding with the likes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sotomayor!

So Law no longer has a Catholic title, and no longer lives within the church properties, and is now just a regular Joe pew sitter that has to find his own non-Catholic place to live and his own car and everything, just paying all of his own bills, rent, food, repairs, on his pension alone?

If you knew what I thought of the head of the Supreme Court being so disgusting, so unchristian, so vile and traitorous as to participate in blackmail to ruin America and rig Court decisions, or of the kind of person who thinks that is a good avenue of cover for someone, by offering up blackmail as something acceptable.

You would recognize that you are spreading one of the most horrible accusations against Roberts that is possible.

I don’t believe you of course, such a deed would make him worse than Benedict Arnold.

It was quite emphatically reported that Pope Francis was offended at his presence, I'm not sure what was meant by the report when it said that officials would arrange for him someplace else to live. Were they going to simply help him relocate, or provide some sort of more modest accommodations. I don't know if you saw any of the photos of the Vatican "hotel" that the cardinals stayed at, but their lodging consisted of a small room with a twin bed and a small desk.

That looks typical, but it doesn’t answer anything, it sounds like the cardinal is doing just fine and that at age 82 or whatever, he may have to settle for a low public profile, unless he moves into his own place and gives up his roll in the Catholic organization.

Dangus, You’ve hit on the crux of my question. Does Cardinal Burke have authority to tell the proaborts to abstain at the inaugural Mass? Or does that authority reside solely with Wuerl or the bishops in the home dioceses of these politicians?

Actually, Roberts said it is a legal tax and that it is not the job of the USSC to protect idiots from those they elect of their own free will. He didn't say a word about whether or not the HHS mandate is legal because that was not a question before the court.

We will know very soon exactly where this Pope stands.

He has the rare opportunity to make an example of the evil degenerates the moslem in the WH sends as his emissaries in a deliberate insult to the successor to Saint Peter.

The satanic American communists and muhammedans worldwide will be watching to see if the moslem Hussein Baraka's provocation will be repulsed appropriately.

Yeah, think about how much you like him when the Obamacare Death Panel gets you.

They are arrogant and know that their heresy will be hailed as legitimate Catholic teaching in Catholic churches, schools, and colleges around the nation. Their receiving Communion is proof of their legitimacy.

And that is my greatest fear, the use of this sacrament for political gains. And perhaps it will be this act of arrogance that will bring an official excommunication order down upon them? A mockery of the Pope, Church, Faith, and God...after the massive denial at the DNC convention I put nothing past this 'evil' as it presents itself before the Eucharist.

And ya' know, in a way it makes a mockery of our Freedom of Religion in the long run.

It will be a deciding moment for the Catholic Church. Giving communion or not to abortionist supporters sets the template for what is most important for the church under this new Pope...politics or doctrine. The church’s future will be defined by the outcome.

>>>Sending the House minority leader is odd. It’s purpose is to insult.>>>

It’s more than an insult. It’s Obama’s outright announcement that he’s against the Catholic Church and ALL Christian religions.

But what did we expect from Osama Obama?

His speechwriters are now preparing his announcement that Christians are unwelcome in the USA.

I suspect there are plenty of US priests in the Vatican who know exactly who Pelosi and Biden are and can advise the Pontiff accordingly. Let’s see if it matters...if it doesn’t, we’ll know how viable the future of the Church will be in America... “...hypocrisy is the birth of atheism...” John Paul II
