Could you please pray for my sister-in-law and my unborn niece?
My sister-in-law is having surgery to remove an ovarian cyst, and she is 5 and 1/2 months pregnant with my little niece. She has another little girl at home. There is a story attached to that.
My sister-in-law worked at the WTC, at Cantor Fitzgerald on the 108th floor. All of her coworkers died on September 11, but she was out of the office in NJ for an obstetrician's appointment. Her first daughter saved her life.
Please remember her and her little ones in your intentions today - she may be undergoing surgery as soon as this weekend.

Heavenly Father, we return to praise You for Your goodness and mercy to this young mother and her children. Touch her with healing through the surgeon's hands ... strengthen her through those who will guide her through recovery ... grant utmost faith that this new life will safely be delivered. As You have protected this family in the past, may You do so again in these coming days. In the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Our daughter just presented us with our 4th grandchild two weeks ago, a beautiful and healthy baby girl. When she was 7 months pregnant with this child, our daughter had an emergency appendectomy. She and the baby came through just fine.
When this same daughter was carrying her now-5-year-old, she had gall bladder surgery. At the time she was not quite 3 months pregnant. Because of the pregnancy, she could not have the "band-aid surgery" but had to have the major operation (apparently radiation is used in the simpler procedure and that was too risky for the unborn child). The doctors postponed the surgery as long as possible but daughter's body chemistry was getting severely out of balance and the operation became an urgent matter.
It is frightening to have your child undergoing surgery any time but especially when she is carrying a precious new life. I understand your fears and your concerns but I hope that our daughter's experiences help to give you hope and encouragement.
Mother and babe will be in my prayers, as will all your family. May God bless you and keep you!
[A humorous side note: daughter and her hubby have decided that perhaps they should have no more children ... daughter is running out of disposable organs.]

I just realized my mistake ... it is not your daughter and grandchild but your sister-in-law and niece. Prayers for all of you!

Prayers of healing and strength and joyous new life for your sister-in-law and your niece.
All babies are born when God wants them to appear. God willing, your niece will be an early springtime baby.

May God hold this woman and her family close to Him now and provide peace and strength and healing. May He guide the doctors and nurses who care for her, in Jesus' name.
