A vote for McClintock is a vote for HER

It is critical to think out of the box, beyond California. For the clintons, the California recall election is no less than a proxy for their war with the Kennedys for the control of the Democrat Party (and the country).

The GOP has already been torn apart. It's no longer the conservative party it was when I was growing up, it's now the "not as liberal as the 'Rats" party. If Pubbies would return to the conservative core beliefs they once held close, RINOs like Arnold, Hatch, Specter, Collins, Snowe, Chaffee, et al, would be revealed to be the'Rats they really are.

While some may say a vote for McClintock is a vote for Hilldebi**h, I say a vote for Arnold, or any other RINO, is still a vote for her...it'll just take a little longer. Folks need to go back to voting their principles, and the Stupid Party will eventually take the hint and come back to their former core beliefs.

You'll understand that I'm usually reluctant to do others' research for them -- don't really have the time. Let me do a quick search.

Here's a Sowell article, was posted somewhere here, but I can't find it quickly:
http://capmag.com/article.asp?ID=3056

It won't be pretty, but here's a bunch I found in just 2-4 minutes of searching. All articles have useful info, and you look at the postings, you'll see conservative after conservative setting out our reasons for supporting him.

The choice is between Arnold or Cruz. If you prefer Cruz, then you are a Democrat. I am uninterested in what else you have to say until October 8th.

You see, I voted for Bush because while he was to my left, I considered him the 80% candidate. Bush has done quite a few good things like the war on terror and distancing us from the UN and ridiculous international treaties.

I LIKE Bush. He isn't perfect, but he seems like a good man unlike our last president.

IMHO, Arnie is more like the 30% candidate. You might be right and he might do a decent job of governing. But his positions (or lack thereof), his Kennedy connections and his VERY liberal advisers all push me to NOT pull the lever for him (if I could actually do so).

Again, I don't enjoy disagreeing, but you're just mistaken. Scwarzenegger has VERY CONSERVATIVE advisors. He's got VERY CONSERVATIVE CA assyman John Campbell advising him on economics. He's got CONSERVATIVE think tank Hoover Institute supplying other advisors, and they will do his audit. And on it goes.

He does have this liberal stooge Buffett — which should never have surprised anyone, since he is after all aiming to govern a very mixed state — and when Buffett shot his mouth off, Schwarzenegger immediately slapped him down, in public -- and not a negative peep since.

Again, the standard of comparison is BUSTAMANTE. Even accepting your too-negative 30% -- Bustamante is NEGATIVE EIGHTY PERCENT.

Isn't 30% better than -80%?

Good post. While, in the short run, voting for McClintock will hurt conservatives by electing Bustamonte. The hope is that in the long run it will help by whipping the party to the right. Until the Republicans realize they cannot take their conservative base for granted, they will continue to drift left.

On October 8th, you can explain to us naive Republicans how wonderful it is that Cruz Bustamante defeated Arnold Scwarzenegger by less than McClintock's vote.

Yes, in the sense that control of the CA democrat party would, for reasons of expediency, transfer to the Kennedys.

But the more important result: the control of the political machine in CA would no longer be in democrat/clinton hands

(ASIDE: Note the clintons fingerprints on The Curious Candidacy of Carol Moseley-Braun, as well....)

One has to wonder how much longer the Democrats--both the leaders of the party and the rank and file-- will tolerate the clintons, their corruption, their ineptitude, their utter failure to protect America from terrorism, their hatespin (the ugly progeny of which is on dem display today), their party-decimating, country-decimating self-serving agenda, their suffocating sense of entitlement, their rube arrogance rooted in stupidity.

The dysfunctional duo have plainly destroyed the Democrat Party, arrogated it as their own and are now remaking it in their ugly image. I have no doubt there are multiple coups in the works...

Good post, Mia.

While I may not agree with all the philosophies of Arnold, a vote for McClintock is a vote for the liberals, because McC has no chance of winning.

If McClintock truly wanted California to be run by a Republican governor and strengthen Conservatives positions in Government, he would bow out and support Arnold.

If he doesn't, then several years from now we can look back and thank him for Hillary getting the majority of electoral votes.

McC is in it for himself, it appears. Just as Davis was.

No it is about Republican at all cost, they even feed on their own.

Instead of realizing that Auhnold is a demo in rep clothing they say:

"You have to vote for the evil because, since non of our politico's in office have a spine, we can't ever beat the demorats even though it shows that 75% of Americans hold to the values of the Republican party platform, though non of our elected Republican officials do, we have to vote for the R that the liberal demorat lapdog media tells us can win. We don't dare have an original thought because then we might lose and go the demorat way though we are still going that way even though it says the Republicans control the House, Senate and Presidency. We can't do anything because we would need a super majority but then we would need more than that because we will elect democrats in Republican clothing so some Republicans would vote against us so we just have to do what the Demorats say."

This is the state of Republican thought and principles today. It is shown best by the recent happenings in the U.S. Senate where a minority of 4 to 5 Senators "filibustering" terrorized 55 Senators about the Advise and Consent of the Senate on Judicial nominations.

President Bush and Representatives Cox, Dreier, and Rohrbacher support Arnold -- yet you are so much smarter than they are that you know him to be a Democrat.

If a Republican wins, HE will be blamed for not allowing them to "fix" things while all his plans will be DOA at the capitol and again HE will be blamed for not doing anything. If a Rat wins, it just goes to fact that they will screw things up worse. NOBODY is going fix California until the Rats are thoroughly and permanently defeated and discredited.

GOP, sometimes the best plan is to allow the enemy to defeat themselves. The Rats are self destructing in CA. What little good will and credibility they had is rapidly being pissed away as they pander to every left wing wacko group out there in an effort to stay in power AT ALL COSTS, even if it is only temporary.

What a joke Arnold and his crowd are the Republican parties Clinton's................ remember Billy boy's mantra ..because he could win... because he was a popular in the poles... because he was a new kind of Democrat ...... and anything and everything became acceptable for one thing....power.... and they bully and broke and crushed anyone in their way for power...

Arnold is not Clinton but he is a front for Clinton like Republicans and there quest for power... they copied every Clinton tactic there is....triangulate ... focus group pole to decide what to think .. spin....smear....backstab and sellout .... anything for power .... it all so pragmatic for power ....but power to do what?....

Your going to give Arnold and his crowd a seat at the national table and this will be presented as the winning strategy for the Republican party nationally..... it will be used to leverage the death of conservatism in the Republican party .... the new party radio format will be soft liberalism 101 fm... we play whatever popular ..... whatever for power....

You people are to deaf dumb & blind to get it... your selling your sole to give power to people that once they get power will kill you off first...your a freppers.. your conservatives... your a right wing crazy .... you and your ideas are the problem to these people ..... or have you not grasped the paradox that no matter how much you hate McClintock or how much you love Arnold... McClintock ideas and position are your ideas and position and Arnold's are not.....

To Arnold and his people your ideas and position are the problem nationally.... they have to be ended.... nationally.....for power.... you can love Arnold all day but to Arnold and his people your the embarrassment they are out to kill off... you damm dumb fool...
