I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.
They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)
The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.
When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.
I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.
This just keeps getting better and better...

If she hadn't filed charges, or didn't intend to in the future, then she had no reason to stay quiet.Juanita had the power to severely impede Clinton's chances at the White House in 1992 -- and she blew it. Not that I'm completely blaming her for eight years of fun and games in the White House, but it's too bad she couldn't find it in her to file charges, at the time of the alleged crime.

Remember....Hal Haddon and his crew of dirty tricksters defended the Ramseys..Killers of their daughter...and Haddon defended Bill Clinton at one time.

I was under the impression FreeRepublic is such a place. Was I mistaken ? I suppose it is such a place. But discussing the possibilities of this case, like most Freeper debates, should be kept in its proper place. I find the comparison of the Bryant case to the Clinton impeachment offensive, because it trivializes the harm Clinton did. You could glean a small measure of Clinton from how he treated women, but that was not the core of his venality.

I do not know if Bryant committed an assault on this girl or not, either. I await dependable evidence and testimony, not gossip.
I took a look at MSNBC and saw part of the report. Hmmmmm, several boys that sound like their pov is similar to some here. It could have happened, but then again, maybe like the girl is being accused of wanting her 15 minutes, maybe these boys are seeking theirs. I have no idea. (Is the girl to remain cloistered and not socialize? I agree, if she was bragging about the encounter it says alot about the merit of her charges. If she was socializing at a party and these boys are exaggerating her demeanor and such that is something else.)
But I do know if some piece of information is reported and it turns out that information was wrong, it is time to concede that point in the interest of truth.
Back to Fox for me as we wait for news on the spawn of Saddam. OMG! Fox just said the Eiffel Tower is on fire. They didn't have footage but said France is showing it over there.

You could glean a small measure of Clinton from how he treated women, but that was not the core of his venality. The harm Clinton did to those women is directly related to the harm Bryant did to this woman (and perhaps others). It is an example to all men on what they can get away with if they have enough fan support and score for their team.
I find it difficult to believe this was his first foul, but apparently it was the first the referee called him on.

Irvin's past legal problems certainly made him more appealing to the press. That doesn't mean he deserved to get slandered while his lying accuser got nary a mention.
The last stat I saw on rape said close to 50% of the allegations were later determine to be false. The most damning evidence I ever saw showed that in (I haven't seen this in a while, but I think I'm remembering it correctly) 25% of all rape allegations, the supposed "victim" admitted they had consensual sex with the accuser sometime AFTER the supposed rape. To me, this indicates someone who got upset later and decided to get revenge.
No, I don't the "victims" are to be blamed the majority of the time. However, I think both parties should be looked at fairly, and in this case, an initial assesment shows a guy with a squeaky clean image (although now an admitted adulterer) vs. a drama queen teenager that loves the alcohol, has attempted suicide, and might have bragged about the encounter to friends later.

Wow, it's post like this one that make me glad that we decided against going to trial. It would have killed me to hear my loved one called a whore: she wasn't. I see no evidence that the Kobe's accuser is one. I don't know why the victim is always blamed in these cases. Many of you are willng to give Kobe the benefit of the doubt, but not the girl involved.
As a matter of fact, my husband read your post-he travels. He says he has had front desk employees (women) bring him stuff (pillows, towels, food etc) after dark.

Juanita had the power to severely impede Clinton's chances at the White House in 1992 -- and she blew it. and missed the opportunity to be trashed by millions of his fans, just like Kobe's victim is being trashed by Kobe's fans.
That is precisely why she did not file charges. He was the Attorney General. She was in a hotel room with him. She knew there were lots of evil men and women who would support him, not to mention the morally challenged.

Haddon and Whitewater
Westword
And speaking of the Ramseys and dudes who like to party, what do "Papa" John Ramsey and Bill Clinton have in common? An appearance in Tuesday's New York Post column by gossiper Cindy Adams, who connects the dots between the two--through the Haddon Morgan & Foreman law firm, with a brief detour past Roy Romer, sometime Colorado governor and full-time chair of the Democratic National Committee.
Not only do attorneys at Haddon Morgan & Foreman represent Ramsey, Adams points out, but they also pop up numerous times in "The Special Committee's Whitewater Report:The Arkansas Phase." For example, the Haddon firm filed Clinton's income-tax returns for every year from 1981 through 1992 and in 1978 even cut a check for"reimbursement of interest pd." to the late James McDougal himself.
"To understand Hal Haddon's power," writes Adams, "consider the millions of barrister-solicitor-mouthpiece-advocate firms in America Bill Clinton could choose to handle his tax records vis-à-vis the Senate Whitewater committee. The prez of the U.S.A. disses the whole load of D.C. or New York legal flunkies on his payroll for some barrister's firm all the way the hell out in Denver, who nobody's ever heard of."
Well, not exactly. A decade ago, Haddon, a big supporter of Gary Hart, was even being touted as a potential attorney general if his candidate won the presidency. Instead, Hart sank with the Monkey Business--and Haddon kept a relatively low profile until Ramsey raised it back up. Could the Clinton-Haddon-Ramsey connection account for "why the gov isn't removing District Attorney Alex Hunter from the JonBenét murder investigation?" muses Adams.
Asked, but not answered.

I dont think anybody is printing stories about drag-racing presidents. That's exactly my point. They can lie about this girl because no one can refute it, but they can't tell outrageous lies about the president or Bryant because there would be immediate proof that it was a lie.
If any of Kobe's "friends" want to step up to the mike and drag him through the mud... I'm sure the papers and tv shows would be MORE than accomadating.
I did't know he had friends.
However, so far nobody has, plain and simple. Whereas, in the case of our colorado girl.. there is a multitude of people willing to step up and reveal information about this person... and more importantly they are all local friends and townspeople....
Anyone can tell any lie they want about her because there's no one to refute it, she's not famous and therefore not watched all the time. Famous people have their every move watched, non-famous people don't.

The harm Clinton did to those women is directly related to the harm Bryant did to this woman (and perhaps others). The evidence against Clinton is a bit more solid. I'm not saying you can't be right, but be honest: there is absolutely no objective reason you should believe the girl over Bryant, or vice versa.
To: Hodar
I just have questions at this point in time; and have this odd habit of believing a person innocent until proven guilty.
That was exactly one of my points. I don't know if either one are telling the truth. Who knows? Someone is lying. Questions about the case and the facts are always a good thing. I wasn't so much making a point about this girl (child support or otherwise) than I was that often times we accuse without having all the facts. Either way someone is going to pay dearly. So I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, I dont have the facts either. I agree with you that men can be and have been falsely accused of rape. My point in general was that false blame can be applied to both sides. Male or female.
To: Palladin
Interesting post- I hope the DA has much evidence or he and the girl will be destroyed.

"I hold religion to be a deeply personal issue, and never a public one. Those who would espouse their religion, faith or superstitions upon the public, are to be more feared than terrorists at large." Please do yourself the service of copying quotes in context. You missed the part that said:
For terrorists know they are doing evil to obtain their ends. Religious fanatics, on the other hand, believe that their actions are inherently 'good', even as they trample the rights, dignity and lives of those they wish to 'save'
That way, you won't look so foolish. By the way, in what possible way does that thought lend it's way to this article??? On what planet does this personal attack lend itself to produce a logical, deductive arguement?

I'm rather surprised at you, Appy, on this subject. Nothing, I mean nothing has been proven as to the actual sexual assault. Yet Bryant is thrown under the bus by you. What gives? Could Bryant be guilty of sexual assault? Yes. Could he be guilty of adultery, but not of sexual assault? Again, yes. At this moment there is absolutely no way to judge one way or the other.
Innocent until proven guilty. Does that still apply?

Thank you for a very gentlemanly response! Apology accepted. No harm done.
I agree - both parties in the Kobe situation have themselves in an awful mess. A little self-respect and respect for others sure could have saved them both a lot of heartache.
Thanks again.

Either way someone is going to pay dearlySorry, I must respectfully disagree. If Kobe is guilty, he goes to jail for a very long time. He loses (if he has not already, merely by being accused) millions of dollars in endorsements, he faces possible life in jail; and his professional career is certainly in jeopardy right now (innocent until proven guilty, indeed). If he is innocent, the girl gets NO penalty at all. However, Kobe will forever carry the stigma of being once accused of rape. Her identity is legally protected. She faces NO jail time (let alone significant financial losses), regardless of the verdict. Whether she is a victim of anything other than bad judgement, is yet to be determined.

Yet Bryant is thrown under the bus by you. What gives? There is proof that he had sex with her and she claims it was rape. I have no evidence to refute her claim but there is enough evidence of rape to go to trial. I believe her over him because he proved himself untrustworthy when he committed adultery. If he hadn't had sex with her, he would be home-free. He made this bed and now he will have to lie in it.
I realize that many people believe Kobe because he is such a good family man but that makes me laugh.
