Michael Moore is trying to tie Bush to bin Laden! His film is scheduled to be released in 2004, in the middle of the campaign! And Disney's Miramax is reportedly financing this hit piece!
Of course we must boycott Disney and Miramax. But letters (hard copy ones, ones they have to hold in their hands and look at) are another effective way of getting the message out that America doesn't want Michael Moore's Bush-bashing films in their marketplace!!
Here are some contact numbers and street addresses to mail your letters to.
Please remember: the person who answers the phone may have NO IDEA what you're talking about...they're mainly receptionists and communication specialists who're trained to forward messages and calls. Don't abuse them. And don't abuse the reader(s) of your letters! But be firm and matter of fact--you do not think this decision is wise.
If you're a stockholder, maybe you'll want to sell your stock. If you're a parent, maybe you won't rush out to buy "Treasure Island" for your kid. (Not that you would anyway! ha ha) If you're a grandparent, maybe you won't take the grandkids to DisneyWorld after all. Whatever. Disney's tentacles are so long and reach so far I cannot imagine anyone not having some connection to the company. Even ABC is owned by Disney.
Remember: Disney's subsidiary MIRAMAX is financing the movie, so you can contact BOTH companies. The head of Miramax is a guy named Harvey Weinstein.
Here are the addresses and numbers...and here's to a good FREEPing!

Glad you're amused. Maybe someday you'll get out of dependence, like I did, and become free of the Institutionalization of the Democrat Party.
Now, as to the substance of your "post". I started the thread, and I never promoted denying anyone a Constitutional Right. And your little rant insinuates I did. My freedom of speech includes the right to promote the exclusion of commerce to any organization that promotes values I with which I disagree. And that's what I was doing.
You can attack that as an assault on the First Amendment if you wish, but my behaviour is really an exercise of that part of the Constitution--not a violation thereof.

I don't see the big deal here. Political commentary is still legal in this country. Everyone here is so upset because there is a movie in the works that will criticize their favorite man in office? If anyone saw Roger and Me, you'd realize Michael Moore has alot to offer. Instead of a knee-jerk reaction to his anti-iraq war views, perhaps we all can take a deep breath and see if there is any merit to this movie before condeming it to some sort of satanic plot. Just because somebody is funded by the political party some of us may or may not vote for, doesn't mean that they should be beyond criticism. Indeed, they aren't even above satire-see the supreme court for that one.

Here's a good way to get across your views about Moore's anti-Americanism.
Blockbuster has 5000 stores and decides whether or not to carry certain films.
BB's decision not to carry Moore's films would send a powerful message to Hollywarped.
They need to be advised that we are outraged at Moore's anti-American and GWB-bashing. Moreover, the Academy's awarding pedophile Roman Polanski an Oscar was a travesty. Polanski was charged with rape and five other felonies in 1977 after having intercourse with a girl who was 13 years old at the time. Polanski drugged the pre-teen and had sex with her while she was unconscious. Polanski was convicted in absentia and was a fugitive from justice at the time he received the Academy Award.
Hollywarped's most devious weapon is to proselytize an unsuspecting public - duping them into accepting amoral lifestyles only Hollyweird deems "normal."
Now is a good time to tell Blockbuster how you feel about Moore and pervert Polanski's films being carried by BB. Below is Blockbuster's URL. Comments link on the left.

As a Disney employee, I'm not exactly thrilled about this news either. However, I did come across a message board on moorewatch.com that further explains the relationship Disney has with Miramax.
http://www.moorewatch.com/comments.php?id=302_0_1_0_C Plus, the board notes that Michael Moore is no stranger to butting heads with Disney. We'll see whether Disney really will let this go. Personally, I hope not.
As for going to Universal or Sea World, you are completely entitled to do so. I just hope you don't have a problem with supporting the French, seeing as Universal Studios is owned by Vivendi, a French pharmaceutical company. Also, when I last worked at Disney World, there were rumors that Universal was trying to buy Sea World from Annheiser-Busch. I'm not sure if that went through though, but it's very possible. Check out the following Boycott France site to see Universal on the list.

Much thanks Warren_Piece for clearing that up. Disney has nothing to do with Gay Days, and they can't control when people come to their parks and whether they come in large groups. I've seen this criticism of Disney time and time again, and it doesn't wash. It's just a weak excuse to hate Disney (which one has the right to do, but it isn't fair to twist the facts, present those lies as truth, and falsely lay blame).

Who needs all those high priced theme parks anyhoo? When I'm on the Left Coast, PCH & the ocean, Santa Monica and spiritual junkets are what I seek. I went to Hearst Castle, then I went to Winschester Mansion, etc. That is the beauty of CA, there is so much more worth out there than theme parks. Heck I was happy on the most crooked street in America and conquering my fear of bridges going to Sausalito ;) I personally, my best trips were going to Carillo Monument in SD and the 13 mile trek in Northern CA, shoot, I sat for 4 hours in winter just watching Seals.

I am so f***ing mad. I went straight to the Disney website, but found no email contacts whatsoever.
Of course not...you think they want to hear from us? All they want is your $$$, and that's it. The proof is in the pudding, especially with this Miramax thing. Instead of funding a good-spirited, happy-go-lucky children's movie, for example, they want to dish out money to Michael Moore who is nothing more than a filthy idealogue who got his ass booed off the stage at the Oscar's. I guess Miramax and Disney weren't watching. If that's what Miramax and Disney want to fund, then may poor business and revenues be upon their company as a result.

Mickey Moore meets the Disney Chicks and leaves for France to be caned at Cannes.
Disney receives severe burns from Fahrenheit 911, stocks plummet. Wishful thinking.
I believe that Walt Disney was a devout Socialist. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
And to think, the French throw Disney out for infecting their society with Mickey Mouse Culture. Go figure.
Several associates, including myself, have declined to accept a free weekend at Disney, compliments of our employer for later this month.

I really hope all Righties boycott Disney, the next time I take the family to Walt Disneyworld it really will be the happiest place on earth.....no right wingers and no southern baptist.. That's going to be great.

The first "person" who wrote "Let's Roll" in regards to a movie coming out by Mr. Moore really needs to start questioning the right wing radio that seems to their savior. While antics like that work great on radio, and I'm sure, after listening to it day after day, seem pretty normal. However comparing an upcoming movie with hijackers really is sickening. No wonder the right wing has the sterotype of low-brow war mongers.
