First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway .. Thread 4

.... ...

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

Thank you all very much for your continued support.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

Well here's a long story to keep us bumped for a while.

Being true to my name, I brought one of my little stray cats in last night when the temp was -10F. (God I hope my sister doesn't see this). Locked the two housebound cats upstairs and fell asleep in a chair at about 3am with the stray on my lap. Woke up at 7am to c-span interview with answer and pinko reps. (gag/barf) flipped to a local channel on the still running tv and voila! a story about a local newspaper article on Scott Ritter.

First thought check FR. OK post article (who else am I gonna' tell @ that hour?

Reminded me of my need to donate and always of all the great fun of FReeping the hildebeast and the many post FReep reports, the FR inaugural ball, etc, etc.

We can't ever let FR down... it never lets us down and oh, btw, I'm not addicted..... never have been never will be.... argh I think lightning just struck me........

Nice story, catfur.

Especially the part about bringing the stray cat in from the cold.

I have a big soft spot for animals, too.

Have to go look for the Scott Ritter story you posted. Can't stand that guy!

Not at ALL! Didn't know if new 'bombs' were needed. I have had that picture on my homepage since right after 9/11. Used it today on another thread....and thought...why not? Thanks for 'circulating it".

Awwwww........can see you with the little stray curled up in your lap.

As one who is HIGHLY allergic to 'catfur'--but loves the critters anyway.......I'll pass on a tip I was given by a vet (for those who have never heard of this).

Combine 1 oz. of liquid fabric softener with 16 oz. of water in a spray bottle. Spray your cat once a week and rub the spray into the cat fur. This will keep the dander down (which is what most are allergic to).

We did that for 11 years with our last cat....and as long as I didn't touch my eyes before washing my hands, I could pet and love my cat all I wanted to w/o an allergic reaction.

Yep, whenever I see something big is on TV, the first place I go to is Free Republic to learn the truth

Fox News just aired a clip of the rally in San Fran and I swear the one guy with a bull horn and an american flag looked like a Freeper ..

So did you sister ever find out about the cat??

GOOD one!

I saw a VERY interesting news story on FNC yesterday about how these protestors are ignoring the devastating environmental damage that has been done in IRAQ by Hussein. Selective caring...so convenient.

Guess THAT doesn't matter to these idiots. Reminds me of the nags in NOW ignoring the antics of Wild
Billy and his sidekick...Hilly.

Delaware and West Virginia!! WVNan will match W.Va.donations up to $40, or $40 for two monthlies of $10 from Delaware, which ever comes first. Also a challenge at post #376 for a 10 dollar donation.
