Carnival's cruise ship Triumph docked at St. Thomas.

Ahoy, Freepers!  Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!

This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day.  It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here.  Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.

We strongly urge you to register ASAP.  We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival.  From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there.  We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.

As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency
will win their choice of five (5) sheets of Ocents.com stamp sheets (go to that website for Seeking the Truth's array of terrific stamps!)
They will also receive a usflagballoon.com pin courtesy of Abner (check out Abner's usflagballoon website
to view the colorful pin and some excellent pictures of the US Flag Balloon!)  Registrations will be dated and time-stamped by the agency.
Winners will be notified and they'll receive their gift stamps and pins via mail.

We've got a great contest planned for later.  A lucky winner will receive a FREE cabin for two!
Last year, the contest was won by our Freeper pal, Taxman.  This time it may be you!

Bookmark this thread.  We'll keep you posted as plans evolve.  Register now for this fun-filled getaway in the sun!
Informal FRN meetings will be held on board which will be full of information and idea-sharing for effective conservative activism.

Rock the boat with your fellow Freepers!  Climb aboard today!

This page is for general comments about the cruise.
If you have questions, do not post them here.
Use the Bahama Mama link and ask them there.
Thank you!

Overview of Cozumel shore

Contemplating the sweet victory
over both the 'rats and al-clayda

Nightime shoreline

Looks like a plan to me. ;-)

Best you be on board for this one - what a terrific anniversary present!

Always trying to find a resource that will cast the cruise in a new and interesting light,
I developed the following internet resources from two thirty second spots for Carnival
Cruise lines.  The ship shown is the Victory, the sister ship of the Destiny and Triumph.
We'll be traveling on the Triumph.

I will provide links to those of you who have developed a browser preference for which
program will handle mp4s for you.  I have not established such a prefernce myself.

Use the links if you can.  If you can't, please highlight the internet address of the file
you wish to view, then paste it into your QuickTime or RealOne players.  Both will
display the files.  These are four megabyte files.  They should only take a few moments
to download for play if you have DSL.

By the way.  I always suggest people watch the video a second time, as loading the file
and viewing it the first time can often display a less than optimal presentation.

Please see post 263 if you'd like to see a commercial for Carnival Cruise lines that shows a ship nearly identical to the one we'll be cruising on. I think you'll find the videos interesting.

Did you know that Carnival has their own MasterCard that you can use to pay for the trip, as well as earn miles toward other free cruises?

Special Notice from Carnival Cruise Lines!!!

Subject: NOTICE FROM CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES:
Afghanistan Cruise

We at Carnival Cruise Lines didn't forget that a lot of entertainers had promised to leave the country if George W.Bush became
President. With that in mind, we have a Special Offer for those who want to keep their promise!

Attention: Would Alec Baldwin, Rosie O'Donnell, Cher, Phil Donahue,David Gephin, Barbara Streisand, Pierre Salinger, and anyone
else who made that promise, please dispose of all US assets and report to Florida for the sailing of the Funship Cruise, "Elation,"
which has been commissioned to take you to your new vacation homes
in Afghanistan. You may opt to be dropped off in Somalia or Iraq.

The Florida Supreme Court will sponsor a Farewell Parade in your honor through Palm Beach,Broward, and Miami-Dade counties
prior to your cruise.

Please pack for an extended stay...at least four years and you should consider the possibility of eight years.

Note: Since you advocate strict gun control, you may not bring any.

Staffing your voyage is Bill Clinton as captain, Al Gore as cruise director, Monica Lewinsky as recreation director, Ted Kennedy as
lifeguard and emergency procedures director, and Congressman Gary Condit as intern coordinator.

If you have any questions about making arrangements for your homes, friends and loved ones, please direct your comments to
Senator Hillary Clinton. Her village can raise your children while you're gone, and she can watch over all your money and your
furnishings until you return.

Bon Voyage!"

Is this a great country or what!

On what? Your horse? :-)

I would love to go, and the prices are fantastic, but airplanes and I don't mix! Too far to drive to Florida, so I guess I will just hope someday they'll have the cruise start on the West coast!

There you are!
I was getting worried about you!
Haven't seen you lately!

No, this is the way we'll have to do this:

I'll be out there at the end of this month.
You and chadsey can ride back with me to Katy, Texas.
In May we'll drive down to Florida and catch the boat!

SEE??!
Simple!!
