WASHINGTON — The US and Iran are nearing agreement on a memorandum of understanding to end their nine-and-a-half-week war and lay out plans for talks about the future of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, a Pakistani source familiar with mediation efforts told The Post Wednesday.
“There are documents,” the source said, referring to multiple versions of the potential agreement. “Which one will be approved is under discussion.”
Separately, Reuters quoted a Pakistani source as saying of a potential deal: “We will close this very soon. We are getting close.”

THEN negotiate the future of Iran's nuke program.
Abject surrender by the US.
I see it the same way. Keeping in mind that none of honestly know what the hell is going on here, it just looks like we decided to get tough, found out that Iran was pretty tough, too, and that we had virtually no support of any kind from our former allies. With no real hope of a successful internal revolt and no desire to completely destroy and then rebuild the entire nation, we are it seems stuck having to ‘negotiate’.
The ultimate TACO. Thursday instead of Tuesday.
Must be TACO Tuesday (plus). They’re talking about the same kind of “deal” that Obama originally made, all predicated on the Iranians acting in good faith and living up to their agreements.
Trump’s a total fool if he goes along with this nonsense and snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. NO better than Obama.
Trump is the ultimate deal maker and if the Idiots running Iran know what’s good for them they should honor the provisions. Still on the table however is regime change. Trump knows that putting boots on the ground to do this is a repeat of Iraq and Afghanistan. If Venezuela is an example, maybe taking out the bad guys running things and then let the people sort it out. The Iranians revolted once and were abandoned by the Biden Administration. Perhaps there will now be a popular uprising knowing that Trump has their back.
But does he really? What happened to "unconditional surrender?"
” Still on the table however is regime change.”
Do you actually believe that after a deal to great fanfare and months of POTUS crowing VICTORY...that he would restart the war because Iran is not in compliance with the deal?
That’s funny right there. I don’t care who you are.
I call BS on Pakistan. This is not the first time they have said something like this, and it won’t be the last.
Now I'm double skeptical.
POTUS says we are very close.
It's hard to imagine a worse deal. Please don't do this, Mr. President.

There won’t be a deal without no nukes.
“Since the beginning of 2025, 21 out of 38 major Russian facilities that process crude oil into fuels such as gasoline and diesel have been hit.”
“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stressed that weakening Russia’s oil sector is a key tool for forcing Moscow to negotiate. ‘The most effective sanctions are those that work the fastest – fires at Russia’s refineries, terminals, and fuel depots.’”

Sunny Iran can turn to solar power, which is now cheaper than nuclear.
U.S.-Iran deal is “within our reach,” Omani mediator says
Updated on: February 27, 2026 / 5:39 PM EST / CBS News
Negotiators from the U.S. and Iran have made “substantial progress” toward a deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi told CBS News on Friday, as President Trump considers strikes on Iran.
Well, the U.S. may be getting close. The irgc......nah! Lucy/football.
“a growing backlog of aging tonnage that is expected to head for the breaking yards in the coming years. Included in the backlog are hundreds of tankers operating in the so-called dark fleet”

There are hundreds of tankers of little value available for Strait transit use. These tankers might proceed to India, which is a short trip away. The oil can be shipped on from India as Russian oil has been.
All we’re asking for is some consistency.
