Arab States Call for Hamas to Disarm Amid Push for a Palestinian State

The world’s Arab countries for the first time have joined unanimously in the call for Hamas to lay down its weapons, release all hostages and end its rule of the Gaza Strip, conditions that they said could help the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The surprise declaration, endorsed on Tuesday by the 22 member nations of the Arab League, also condemned Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, which set off the devastating war in Gaza. The statement came at a United Nations conference in New York on a two-state solution to end the decades-long conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.

“In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, with international engagement and support, in line with the objectives of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state,” said the declaration. It was also signed by all 27 European Union states and 17 other countries.

The declaration called for the deployment of “a temporary international stabilization mission,” invited by the Palestinian Authority, which administers part of the Israeli-occupied West Bank, and “under the aegis of the United Nations.

Have you ever seen a Muslim terrorist gang disarm? They’d sooner be casteated (an excellent proposal to facilitate long-term peace)

The Fakestinians have weapons galore (and tons of stolen free Israeli and recently also USA food donations) in their damned tunnels (yes, they’ve still got some tunnels!)

So calling for Hana’s disarmament is pretty meaningless. They’ll just smuggle more weapons in from Egypt. Yes, tunnels there too.

And there can never ever be another attempt to create another Fakestinian state. Not after their october 7 massacre 7

The Arabs know both of these facts. That their proposal is a deceptive issue of lies, a mirage for the stupid end useful idiot and deliberately hostile mass media to broadcast for the Fakestinian terrorist “cause,” barf.

Just like how Saudi Arabia just recently (this week) slammed the door on peace again. For maybe the 1,000th time.

They can GTH.

I was “Why are the swine who turned these people into attack dogs sicced on Israel going against their plan of the last sixty years?” until reading “under the aegis of the United Nations”.

The U.N. they’ve been molding through money, favors and blackmail all these years until every Middle East decision goes against Israel and for the terrorists.

Can’t wait to visit Trump’s Gaza Riviera - under new management.

Equates IDF with Hamas; wants Hamas to turn its arms over to the PA; wants a two-state solution [sic]; iow, absolutely nothing new about this, apart from demoting Hamas to equivalence with the IDF. In addition, where's the condemnation of the Houthi terrorists? This is a non-starter, and it appears that it is intended to be.

A Palestinian State will only continue the never ending cycle of violence.

Yes. More Fakestinian violence, more terrorist attacks. .
They need to blast the Egyptian blockade open to enable fakestinians wishing to leave to do so.

It is an empty request, especially so now that France, Great (used to be great) Britain, Canada, Portugal, and even now Germany have de facto already recognized a Philistinian state which Hamas believes vindicates their terror completely. They issued a statement to that effect. Negotiations have ended as there is no one to negotiate with.

A senior political source said that "an understanding is forming between Israel and the US that in light of Hamas's refusal, it is necessary to move from a framework for releasing some of the hostages to a framework for releasing all hostages, dismantling Hamas's weapons and demilitarizing the Gaza Strip. There will be no more partial deals." He also noted that Israel and the US will work to increase humanitarian aid while continuing the fighting in Gaza. "There is a disconnect in communications. Hamas has cut off contact," he added. "There is no one to talk to on the other side. This is also Whitcroft's understanding."

Well, they have their own State now and look at the Chaos Hamas puts their
People thru. Stealing Food Aid making their people pay high prices for food,
that was intended to be given to the people, not Hamas.

The Hamas terrorist organization issued a statement on Wednesday addressing the growing international momentum toward Palestinian statehood and mounting calls for the group to disarm and relinquish control over the Gaza Strip.

In its statement, Hamas expressed appreciation for what it described as "positive positions" announced at the high-level international conference in New York. The group stated it "views with great interest every step that could achieve any positive progress" in what it termed the "struggle" of the Palestinian people.

Hamas affirmed its support for international efforts aimed at restoring "the Palestinian people's rights to their land and homeland" and the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state, calling this an "original and natural right" of the Palestinian people. The group claimed that recognition of such a state is "the fruit of our people's ongoing struggle" and a reflection of international legal norms.

Insisting that "resistance and its weapons" are a national and legal entitlement under international law, Hamas rejected any move to disarm as long as what it called the "occupation persists." The group stated that it would not relinquish arms or its claims until all "rights" are restored and an independent Palestinian state is established.

Hamas also demanded that international efforts begin with ending what it labeled a "war of extermination and ethnic cleansing," followed by an end to what it called the occupation. The group called for the isolation and prosecution of Israeli leaders "as war criminals," and condemned all forms of normalization or agreements with the State of Israel.

The statement comes as seventeen nations, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada, signed a declaration demanding Hamas disarm and hand governance of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority. The joint statement, supported by both the European Union and the Arab League, was finalized at a conference at the United Nations.

The declaration reads in part: “In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, with international engagement and support, in line with the objective of a sovereign and independent Palestinian State." Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans to recognize a Palestinian state in September, contingent upon the Palestinian Authority implementing governance and security reforms and excluding Hamas from any future government. The announcement has sparked strong responses from Israeli officials and leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump, who warned of possible consequences for countries backing Hamas or unilateral Palestinian statehood.

“ A Palestinian State will only continue the never ending cycle of violence.”

Why isn’t Gaza already a place for a Palestinian state?

Why isn’t Gaza already a place for a Palestinian state?

Already tried in 2005, even though not officially a state. Israel left a lot of improved infrastructure in Gaza after pulling out all Israeli settlers. Farms & crop machinery, water delivery infrastructure, electrical generation facilities, highways and roads, etc. With the promise from Gaza residents that they would peacefully live with Israel.

After Israel pulled out of Gaza, the muslim arabs in Gaza tore out water pipes, and used machinery left by Israel, to build rockets to rain down on Israel. Farm fertilizer converted to munitions explosives. Farms and warehouses were torn up. And they built an extensive tunnel network, materials and labor that went into building tunnels not used for improving neighborhoods.

There can be only one two state solution for Gaza. Israel lives, and Gaza must die.
