Former President Donald Trump on Saturday repeatedly swerved from a message focused on the economy into non-sequiturs and personal attacks, including declaring several times that he was better looking than Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump wound back and forth between hitting his points on economic policy and delivering a smattering of insults and impressions of President Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron as he held a rally in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The former president has seemed to struggle to adjust to his new opponent after Democrats replaced their nominee. Over the past week, he has diverged during campaign appearances away from the policies he was billed to speak about and instead diverted to a rotation of insults.
Trump on Saturday hammered Harris on the economy, associating her with the Biden administration's inflation woes and likening her latest proposal against price gouging to measures in communist nations. Trump has said a federal ban on price gouging for groceries would lead to food shortages, rationing and hunger and on Saturday asked why she hadn't worked to solve prices when she and Mr. Biden were sworn into office in 2021.
"Day one for Kamala was three and a half years ago. So why didn't she do it then? So this is day 1,305," Trump said.
Trump laced in attacks on Harris' laugh and said she was "not a very good wordsmith" and mocked the names of the CNN anchors who moderated the debate he had with Mr. Biden in June.
When he began musing on Harris' recent image on the cover of Time magazine, he forked off, commenting on the picture's resemblance to classic Hollywood icons Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor and then took issue with a columnist remarking this month on Harris' beauty.

Biden/Harris admin is trying to put Trump in jail and probably also tried to have him killed. I think he is allowed to insult them once in awhile

Trump is not going to stop the the jabs and he should not, it will not hurt him. If people don’t want to vote for him they’ll make up a reason. No amount of pandering and being fake will ein you this election or anything other. Just ask President Mitt Romney and his binder full of women or President (he’s no threat) McCain. The Sunnunu’s of the world will never have the support of enough people to try it his way and neither will the others. If it wasn’t effective they wouldn’t be telling him to stop because, as you know, they hate him and are not trying to hand him the winning formula. If insults and personal attacks didn’t work they wouldn’t be calling him and Vance weird (literally trying to do what they is ineffective for Trump).
How could any normal person say anything honest about Joe, Commiela, Janet Yellen,etc, etc, without saying something that could sound like a personal insult?
The insults and falsehoods heaped upon Trump by CBS and other “news” organizations have inspired assassins to seek him out for death.

Seems to me CBS et al are having a hard time dealing with being butthurt about him playing with the Hairy/Balz 2024 ticket AND THEM. They have nothing but an ethereal nothingness in how they have to portray that ticket, because there is no real 'record' other than her failure to do her job.
"Joy" What the hell is that? We have "joy" now because Biden 'saved' democracy by not running but still running the country? Or is it just the 'joy' knowing Que-Mala hasn't fallen down the stairs getting off AF2.
If you're really that ticked off about what he said, why don't you put YOUR names to the article you're whining and crying about it, then. Maybe then we can send you a frigging condolence card or something.
