Many Americans do not plan to enjoy a summer vacation in President Joe Biden’s America, a Fox News poll found in May, underscoring the economy as the number one 2024 issue for voters.

The Fox News poll found:

Of the 55 percent who are not taking a summer vacation, 73 percent do not have enough money to do so. Seventy-two percent said higher prices impact their summer plans. Fifteen percent do not have time and must remain focused on the daily grind. The last time a pollster asked Americans this question, in 2010, of those who were not going on vacation, only 51 percent cited a lack of cash, while 20 percent blamed a lack of time, Fox

I’m going before prices on ze bugs increase.

Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium – New Orleans

Be prepared for some creative snacks at the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. We’re talking chocolate-chirp cookies; crispy Cajun crickets; mango and apple chutney with wax worms; six-legged salsa and cinnamon-bug crunch. On a busy week, the Insectarium goes through 10,000 bugs, believe it or not. You can place an order for a bugalicious meal any time of the year, but if you go in November, there’s a special annual Hoppy Thanksgiving event with festive dishes like turkey with cornbread and mealworm stuffing, wax worm cranberry sauce and cricket-pumpkin pie.

No one’s got any money. I use to sell 4-10 5k average priced cars a month.

Now no one can even come up with 1000 down.

I highly recommend a summer vacation to my adopted hometown of Toadsuck, Arkansas!

Go to Lulu’s Laundromat And Pet Grooming Parlor and get an icy cold Coca Cola right out of the vending machine!

Get some sticks and go to the river and throw them in and have stick races! Winner gets first turn in the tree swing at Old Man Gransby’s place!

We read yesterday that the coastline is going underwater because some giant glacier is going to collapse into the seas.

That would ruin my week at the beach.

“Travel where? To all the cities that are having crime waves like never before?”

Exactly. As pandemic restrictions relaxed, we thought of the many cities that we would like to revisit or visit for the first time: New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Portland OR, Washington DC ... We scratched all of them off our list.

I am content to just stay home.

For the most part so am I. Been to Yellowstone a few times and the Cody museum. The Rocky Mountains and Estes Park. Been to Destin Florida and even Walt Disney World with the kids. I can't afford to go but I'd like to take the wife on one final one before we kick off. We're almost too old to go now and I refuse to fly (TSA). I'd say this year it is now or never. I'm fine either way. However it turns out.

It was at a park on the river for a family reunion. I had to follow somebody because I didn’t know the way.

I have enjoyed a sumptuous repast at Grandpa’s Catfish House and absconded with one of their Pee In The Urinal And Not On The Floor posters from the restroom.
