Jill Hartle might seem an unlikely advocate for abortion rights, but after a devastating pregnancy loss, she’s raising her voice.
A conservative Christian and former Ms. South Carolina, Jill was a Republican until last summer, when in the wake of new abortion restrictions in her state, she endured the “excruciating” experience of terminating a pregnancy with a baby who had a severe heart defect.
Because of South Carolina’s abortion laws, Jill and her husband, Matt, had to spend weeks waiting for availability at a clinic out of state, fly there, endure wrenching time away from their family and support system, fly home the day after a painful three-day medical procedure, arrange for their daughter’s remains to be shipped back to them and find thousands of dollars to pay for it, “all while grieving the loss of your child,” Jill said.

The more bylines an article has, the more lies it contains.
From the article, “...fly home the day after a painful three-day medical procedure.”
THis makes me suspect the heart defect was not diagnosed until at least well into the 2nd trimester because the fetus is too large for procedures used earlier. Partial birth abortion is a 3 day procedure.
“all while grieving the loss of your child,” Jill said.

Lady, you rubbed out your own offspring before it was even born. You must not have too much grief for it. I could sympathize if your life was endangered or even if some scumbag had raped you, but your daughter never had a chance because of your decision.
They had to collaborate to pack it to the brim.
Even if you know that the child would die shortly after birth how could you just decide to kill the baby?
I do not understand this kind of thought process.
the vast majority of abortions aren’t performed because of a tragic backstory.
You cannot be an “Outspoken Conservative Christian” and support abortion rights. It’s like Orthodox Jewish people supporting Nazi’s.
Anyone who murders babies is acting in opposition to Christ.
Leave it to CNN to post agit-prop like this.
Abortions are done because the woman wants to murder the baby.
From the linked article,
“The Hartles, who say they’ve always supported abortion rights, have now formed the Ivy Grace Project, named after their daughter who died,..”
Unless she died in the womb and was stillborn the correct term is murdered. The daughter who she murdered. Re the article the defect was first found at 18 weeks and confirmed a month later. So the baby was at least 22 week along when the decision to terminate the pregnancy was made. I doubt that happened right away which means she may have been 6 months old when murdered in a most heinous manner.
Yes CNN loves abortion
Godless Democrats
We had so-called Christian friends that were very pro-life for as long as we’ve known em...and we’ve known em for years. They got caught up in the middle of a BLM riot by accident and barely got out with the lives.
That changed em both. They became big advocates for abortion. When we asked them why??? He told us that he’d rather see em be legally destroyed in the womb than to illegally have to fight and kill em in the streets 20 years later.... The wife an I just walked away shaking our heads.
Yeah, right. And the Pope, Pelosi, and Biden are Catholics.
Named after their daughter whom they killed.
If they have always supported abortion rights, there is no way they can claim to be conservative Christians.
These people are not Christians...
I guess if their child had something wrong that they weren’t happy with they would have done the same thing...
Why not adopt?
My youngest son had a two-vessel umbilical cord, an indication of severe genetic abnormalities. There was an alarmingly high chance he would not survive birth and if he did, his medical bills could bankrupt us.
He turned 17 in November, has NCCAH and Asbergers, and is incredibly smart, funny, cute, has a girlfriend, with an internship lined up at an IT company for next summer.
I stood in this woman’s shoes.
I chose to trust God.
I don’t understand how someone who claims to be a Christian, who understands that life comes from God, would end the life of an innocent child.
The only Abortion Right is the one not to be aborted.
These people are sick.
