The more bylines an article has, the more lies it contains.
From the article, “...fly home the day after a painful three-day medical procedure.”
THis makes me suspect the heart defect was not diagnosed until at least well into the 2nd trimester because the fetus is too large for procedures used earlier. Partial birth abortion is a 3 day procedure.
“all while grieving the loss of your child,” Jill said.

Lady, you rubbed out your own offspring before it was even born. You must not have too much grief for it. I could sympathize if your life was endangered or even if some scumbag had raped you, but your daughter never had a chance because of your decision.
They had to collaborate to pack it to the brim.
Even if you know that the child would die shortly after birth how could you just decide to kill the baby?
I do not understand this kind of thought process.
the vast majority of abortions aren’t performed because of a tragic backstory.
You cannot be an “Outspoken Conservative Christian” and support abortion rights. It’s like Orthodox Jewish people supporting Nazi’s.
Anyone who murders babies is acting in opposition to Christ.
Leave it to CNN to post agit-prop like this.
From the linked article,
“The Hartles, who say they’ve always supported abortion rights, have now formed the Ivy Grace Project, named after their daughter who died,..”
Unless she died in the womb and was stillborn the correct term is murdered. The daughter who she murdered. Re the article the defect was first found at 18 weeks and confirmed a month later. So the baby was at least 22 week along when the decision to terminate the pregnancy was made. I doubt that happened right away which means she may have been 6 months old when murdered in a most heinous manner.
We had so-called Christian friends that were very pro-life for as long as we’ve known em...and we’ve known em for years. They got caught up in the middle of a BLM riot by accident and barely got out with the lives.
That changed em both. They became big advocates for abortion. When we asked them why??? He told us that he’d rather see em be legally destroyed in the womb than to illegally have to fight and kill em in the streets 20 years later.... The wife an I just walked away shaking our heads.
Yeah, right. And the Pope, Pelosi, and Biden are Catholics.
These people are not Christians...
I guess if their child had something wrong that they weren’t happy with they would have done the same thing...
Why not adopt?
The only Abortion Right is the one not to be aborted.
These people are sick.
Obviously, they were only posing as conservatives and Christians.
Wake me up when they run a story about a liberal Democrat who opposes abortion. There must be a few out there
They should be happy to get some time free from their family.
They certainly got the utilitarian and selfish individualism message that Hollywood spouts out 24/7.
Who does this author think is buying her tale of false woe?
She said, "I was raised in a very conservative family and have always considered myself aligned with the Republican party, but I have always been pro-choice," she added, "We do come from a conservative Christian background, but we also come from a place of empathy and compassion and non-judgment."
Hartle claimed that she and her husband, Matt, were concerned for their future daughter when they learned that Roe v Wade had been reversed. When Hartle learned about her fetus' health issues, she was 14 weeks pregnant but hadn't thought about having the pregnancy terminated. Early scans had revealed a growing, healthy fetus. She found out she was having a girl about 12 weeks into her pregnancy. Hartle stated that the doctor informed her that "her heart is not what we want it to look like" at her subsequent examination.
Hartle claims that after establishing the severity of her fetus' condition, her doctors informed her that infants with HLHS often need at least three open-heart surgery. The infant would still require a heart transplant even after those operations, and probably more down the road as donors' hearts don't survive forever. "We decided that the best thing for our particular case and our particular daughter, Ivy Grace, was to just give her the most peaceful possible way to heaven and to be healed and to be free and never feel a moment's pain," Hartle told People.
