Former President Donald Trump suggested the “termination” of the United States Constitution could be allowable in response to the bombshell report that the Democrat Party colluded with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.
The former president made his observation via his Truth Social account on Saturday following journalist Matt Taibbi’s thorough report on Twitter’s internal communications during the 2020 elections at the behest of newly-minted CEO Elon Musk.
The author of the Breitbart article above is spinning (lying). Here's what Trump actually posted.
See posts #58 and 59 below.
I became a Declarationist years ago, when I realized that the By-Any-Means-Necessary Democrat Party and some of their pals across the aisle were going to subvert the Constitution, in the end.
For your consideration: in order to effect a de-Nazification of Germany after WWII, neighborhood committees of trusted German anti-Nazis met to refer known Nazis to the Allies for trial by military tribunal. Penalties handed out were imprisonment, permanent barring from future public office, and death.
Bingo!
Not well thought out. I understand his point, which is a fraudulent election shouldn’t stand no matter what.
But throw out all the laws and the Constitution, and what would be left to address a claim of fraud?
Trump could easily complain about the corruption without going that far.
I never saw any evidence that Trump was willing to violate the law or Constitution.
Ron DeMitchsChoice?
Salivate when you hear the bell ring in 2024.
Trump’s post will inspire some hot discussions. Time to pop some popcorn.
The words of most politicians are far better than their actions. Trump is the opposite - his actions as president were overwhelmingly positive and good for the United States, while the stuff that comes out of his mouth and out of his typing fingers is so cringe-inducing.
Termination of the Constitution’s rules? That actually does sound fascist. I am adamantly opposed to this suggestion.
“Lately every time he opens his mouth he makes a bigger fool of himself”
That “fool” is the only thing standing between you and a communist America.
If a former outsider who was elected as POTUS proving by actions he does what he says and is serious about saving the Republic is a “fool”.
What does that make you who disparages such a man?
What’s in the headline is not what Trump said.
Yes
Does any of us think Twitter owners and managers had a right
to remove information on orders of VP Biden?
That right there is a violation of the first amendment.
Those owners and managers should have their stake in the
game cashed out right there, eliminating their ability
to impact the voices heard on the forum.
That is the right Trump was calling to be removed. And I
think quite appropriately.
Why can’t folks think?
That’s the way I read it also.
Context counts!
He jumps at every chance he perceives will down grade the president.
The incorrect reading is ok, if it advances the "Trump is awful" agenda.
That’s a hell no from me.
“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”Why did you not quote this part? There is no suggestion of terminating the Constitution; however, it appears to suggest that this is exactly what Biden is doing right now.
What he said in full context is not what the thread title suggests.
