Trump Suggests ‘Termination’ of U.S. Constitution Allowable over 2020 Twitter Scandal [UPDATE: The author is spinning. Trump's actual words are now posted below.]

Former President Donald Trump suggested the “termination” of the United States Constitution could be allowable in response to the bombshell report that the Democrat Party colluded with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.

The former president made his observation via his Truth Social account on Saturday following journalist Matt Taibbi’s thorough report on Twitter’s internal communications during the 2020 elections at the behest of newly-minted CEO Elon Musk.

The author of the Breitbart article above is spinning (lying). Here's what Trump actually posted.

There are no viable pathways to the presidency for a Republican any more.

Outside the Trump era, there hasn't been any worth a s**t for 40+ years. You got lip service and lies for decades.

I agree with you JIM, and as such, Trump is 100% correct. Jefferson said every government needs to experience a revolution from time to time to keep it honest.

Today, there is nothing honest going on with the government.

It has already failed to properly function.

OH if I were just 20 years younger, but then again, if we must then I follow suit.

To die a slave is no way to die, to die fighting for freedom, now that is an honorable death.

Biden was NOT VP. He was out of power. How a PRIVATE company reacts to requests by a political campaign (BOTH campaigns, in fact) has nothing to do with the first amendment prohibiting the government from abridging free political speech.

Is it immoral? Absolutely. Unethical? Yes. Deceitful? You bet! They held themselves out as the 21st century public square and arbiter of “facts” when they were truthfully partisans manipulating an election. They were the bots.

Was Biden VP at that time? I think he was a private citizen, which makes the first amendment a non-issue.

Keep trying to avoid/sweep under the rug, your NeverTrump posts...with your rude “grasp” insult.

Not buying what you're selling.

Your rude posts stand.

But...again...and, I am being polite....glad you are back on the Trump track.

More of the same nonsense Jane, and you think you’re
really slaying it.

You’re great comic relief on this.

Thank you.

This is certainly no fun picking apart the words of a once great leader, but if you look closely at the full context of the lead up sentence right before the one in question, I think it clearly indicates he is suggesting a remedy that is beyond the current Constitution. To-wit:

…FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.

So before the original sentence in question so far in this thread, he lays out 2 possible remedies that are underlined above. Quoting them separately:

1. do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER,

2. or do you have a NEW ELECTION

Do either of those proposed remedies fall within the provisions of the current Constitution? No, they obviously do not.

At that point he leads into the sentence in question, whereby he claims that, again quoting:

Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.

In this full context, he is saying the 2 outlandish remedies he seeks, which do not fall under the rules of the current Constitution, are justified due to the massive fraud.

Those here trying to dissect the one sentence alone are ignoring the full context of his remarks.

As someone who’s been, “Sworn” multiple times to defend the Constitution, you did one piss poor job, to the point where it’s now trampled on and subverted on a daily basis.

What if only one side in this is actually paying even lip service to observing the Constitution?

Because that is exactly what we are seeing at this time.

Twitter banning the presentation of information because it
might hurt their political favorites isn’t a first
amendment issue?

So you’re defending Twitter. Good to know.

If I go over and take down your lawn signs, I have to hold
office for it to be a denial of your first amendment rights?

I don't think I'm ‘slaying’ anything.

You've ‘slayed’ yourself, quite nicely.

I think you are delusional....but, again, glad you've jumped back on board the Trump train.

😉

The anti-Trump look was not a good look, for you. Welcome back.

Then anyone can come along and take down your lawn signs,
and it’s not a violation of your first amendment rights?

Lost me on this one.

Individuals can infringe on your rights.
