There is growing "discontent" - both on the battlefield and at home.
He told Express.co.uk: "Russia is in big trouble because Ukraine has been making serious advances in both the northeast and in the south. Russia does not seem to be capable and have enough troops to resist Ukraine's advances at present.
"When you combine this with the botched mobilisation, you are seeing much greater discontent there as a result of what is happening on the battlefield and also at home."
"We're also seeing some of Russia's allies seriously doubting what Russia is doing and, in some cases, distancing themselves from Russia.
Putin has a very big problem on his hands which probably won't be remedied immediately by the mobilisation he is making. Those forces won't be deployed quickly enough or in a good enough state to make a big difference."
Colonel Kemp also warned some of Putin's strongest global allies are starting to cast huge doubt over his war plan.
Most recently, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan summoned Putin for a crunch meeting in Kazakhstan as patience continues to wear thin over the Russian President's war plans in Ukraine.
Colonel Kemp said: "Putin's global allies and partners are also starting to lose confidence and faith in his war plan, and that will become a very big problem for him.
"For the first time, we have seen criticism and uncertainty from the likes of China, India and Turkey - three countries he really needs to have on side to an extent.
"We have seen dissent from the leaders of each of those counties over the past few weeks, as well as very important allies such as Kazakhstan - a former Soviet state which has always been very close to Russia - is now distancing themselves from Russia."

The Shahed is an extreme long-range weapon, meaning that all but the tail end of a flight is pre-programmed , the final attack step being not much more complex than flying any sort of an RC airplane from Hobbyking or Banggood. That can’t really take a whole lot of training. Once one Russian has it figured, he can teach others....

Meanwhile, the Ukrainians and US defense suppliers already have a good handle on how to counter the two current models of Shahed and any likely successors. Low, slow, noisy, and cheaply made has them vulnerable to being shot down with standard infantry and antiaircraft weapons and misdirected with electronic countermeasures, while a number of light, palletized, truck borne US Anti UAV Defense systems called Vampire are already in Ukrainian hands and being put to use.
The result is that the Shahed has its effectiveness against defended military targets so the Russians turned to attacks on cities and civilian infrastructure. As the Ukrainians get more Vampire defense systems in place and a supply of its newer, longer range model of missiles, even Ukraine's area targets will be defended against Shaheds and similar weapons.
My guess is that the Shaheds will have lost much of their effectiveness long before Russian language manuals and a full contingent of Russian trainers are available. The US and NATO model of organizational speed and nimbleness in weapons innovation has considerable advantage over stodgier Russian and Iranian capabilities and practices.
In any event, the written manuals must be translated from Farsi to Russian and printed to cope with the language difficulties inherent in using gear with controls captioned in a foreign language. How long will that take?

And why are those posters so desperate for the Russians to win at all costs? I’m pro-Ukraine and yet I have no difficulty in admitting that Russia could very well win this war, or that Ukrainians have undoubtedly committed atrocities (so have the Russians) and that there are some Nazis fighting for Ukraine (and Russia). In other words, although I am definitely cheering for one side I am completely fair and honest about the war as a whole. Why can’t your side be that way as well?

You are probably right. Maybe this is all done in the Ukraine or nearby Russia. We/USA do operate drones from thousands of miles away. Depending on the situation.
The most troublesome Iranian drone is huge. With the wingspan of an eagle and powered by one propeller in the rear. It is delta shaped.

Putin has no war plan. If there ever was a plan, it was destroyed on the long road into Kiev.
The Russian actions now are all reaction to continued defeat and serious attrition on the Ukranian battlefields.
What battle plan?

Putin lacks the resources for sustained bombardment.
He had to go to Iran and some say North Korea to replace dwindling or empty stores of drones, rockets and missiles. Putin can’t make them at home because he does not produce all the components required.
The only thing he may have left is artillery shells. But, it is reported that accuracy is degraded by worn out barrels on the guns.

I’m no Russia proponent, in fact my stance is...get the hell outta there. This is NOT an American problem, it is a Euro problem. Not my circus, not my monkey.
How would Americans feel if Russia or communist China placed troops on our border in Messy-co? Well, this is how Russia feels having NATO or NATO ally right up against their borders.

Actually, the plan was destroyed in the first hour of the invasion when the helicopter carrying the commander of the overall operation was shot down in flames.
I think it is because of the volume of these types of propaganda posts. It’s really starting to clutter up FR so much that I have started going elsewhere more often. I wish we could get a limit of one Ukrainian propaganda post per day, with all the links encapsulated in one post. A little like FR did with Q-Anon.
Russians were in real trouble, but US lend lease that sent them a total of $50.1 billion (equivalent to $690 billion in 2020) worth of supplies, or 17% of the total war expenditures of the US saved them. Now the US is supplying Ukraine with weapons.
Because we should listen to a bunch of KGB-supporting Russophiles who have been wrong at every phase of this war to date?
