Over the past several weeks, NASA's ultra-powerful James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has allowed humankind some unprecedented glimpses into the farthest reaches of our universe. And unsurprisingly, some of these dazzling new observations have raised more questions than they've answered.
For a long time, for instance, scientists believed the universe's earliest, oldest galaxies to be small, slightly chaotic, and misshapen systems. But according to the Washington Post, JWST-captured imagery has revealed those galaxies to be shockingly massive, not to mention balanced and well-formed — a finding that challenges, and will likely rewrite, long-held understandings about the origins of our universe.
"The models just don't predict this," Garth Illingworth, an astronomer at the University of California at Santa Cruz, told WaPo. "How do you do this in the universe at such an early time? How do you form so many stars so quickly?"

You gave a very precise and accurate answer. God. Pure, simple truth.
German antisemites existed long before the Nazi party.
In fact, France and Russia, too.
The French had the Dreyfuss Affair trial in 1890, and the Russian Czar’s secret police published a book called “The Protocols of the Learned Edlers of Zion”. The Protocols were written and circulated sometime around 1900, probably by agents of Nicholas’ secret police force, the Okhrana, as a means of strengthening his rule. They first appeared in print in 1903 and their content contributed to another wave of violent pogroms against Russian Jews.
In the early 1880s, and again between 1903 and 1905, several thousand Russian Jews were killed in pogroms (race riots targeting Jews and their property).
The road to German unification was a difficult one, however, and was often blocked by political obstacles and regional self-interest. Many who supported unification became frustrated by the lack of progress – which, of course, some blamed this on the region’s Jews. Anti-Semitic writers claimed the Jews feared a united Germany. They much preferred the status quo of small, bickering kingdoms.
In 1868, a German writer, Hermann Goedsche, wrote of a secret coven of rabbis who met at midnight in a Jewish cemetery in Prague to devise plans for world domination. Goedsche was a known forger and an agent of the Prussian government, and his ‘revelation’ about a Jewish plot was actually plagiarized from an earlier text.
The Big Bang didn’t happen

I’ve been saying this for decades, overwhelmingly to eyerolls & scoffs. Such is the nature of inherent confirmation bias.

“The first billion years after the Big Bang are of intense interest to cosmologists. During this time, the hot, quantum soup that filled the Universe after it winked into existence somehow started to form everything: matter and antimatter and dark matter, stars and galaxies and dust.”
Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that this may be more evidence AGAINST the ‘big bang theory’: If we are the product of such an event, they can’t quantify how the matter which comprises us and our solar system ended up >13 billion light years from another result of said event.
I never believed in the sanctity of the ‘science’ and have watched with disdain as adherents demonize independent thinkers.
Like ‘climate change’ & archaeology (among others), astrophysics is just a bit too ‘religious’ for me.
Irony:
The Big Bang Theory Has Been Debunked?

AGREED
The answer to it all. A lot of what we know is really guess work .
Kind of like “man made global warming” huh?
If we try to look back at the furthest reaches of the universe, wouldn't light itself start to bend away from the edge and back towards the middle of the universe?
Is it even possible to see the earliest parts of the universe or is light bending to the point where we're really seeing the younger stuff again?

The only thing we (at least most of us) know for sure is that “GOD SAID LET THERE BE LIGHT”!
There is science, then there is “The Science.” The Science cannot be questioned. Oh, and Dr. Anthony Fauci is its Prophet. Peace be upon His Name. If you question it, you will be memory holed.
“Democracy” is another one that doesn’t mean what it used to mean.
One theory is that each Universe is a bubble and there are more bubbles out there.
String Theory says that there are membranes of dimensions. Universes form when they occasionally collide, AND, former Universes dissolve in a burst of gamma-rays.
I recommend reading Brian Greene. Entertaining science writer, doesn’t speak way over your head.
But, it’s ALL theory. And just because something looks like it fits the theory, it doesn’t mean that it’s right or wrong.

Computer models... are no different from fashion models seductive, unreliable, easily corrupted and they lead sensible people to make fools of themselves. (Yes Prime Minister (2013) Episode Scripts N/A - s01e02)
Or maybe there were many ‘big bangs’... more like firecracker elements going off simultaneously...
Yeah. Speaks volumes about science these days. Jack Webb could solve anything in the 60s, and that was in 30 minutes.
The more atheists try, the dumber they look. Seriously.
Light be... light was....
Simple really.
My wife and I are looking that movie up, now.
Thanks for a great description!
Webb has shaken astrophysics .... The “Big Bang” is in question. The big haired cigar smoking smartypants have been wrong... 14 billion years is wrong. The Big Bang is wrong... Is it multiverse peeking through? The multiverse theories are insane. God level stuff. Beyond God level stuff.
You can look in any direction and if you could see far enougn you'd see the beginning. The theory is that the universe is a 3 dimensional bubble expanding in a 4th dimensional space. We can't see into that 4th dimension . If we could see far enough in sufficient detail you'd see your own spot but as it was billions of years ago.
We are but on a stage.
There are supports holding the moon and planets in a diorama.
The telescope may yet photograph them.
