COVID-19 cases are on the rise, but many Americans are over thinking of the virus as a crisis.
Even in blue cities, restaurants are packed with people, and many Americans don’t wear masks even on the subway or on airplanes.
Amid this national attitude, it may be extremely difficult for local or national leaders to try to reimpose any COVID-19 restrictions.

Covid so passe. Monkeypox is all the rage among maks-wearers and fear-porn addicts now.
Took longer than I predicted, but we got there. This is the real way pandemics end. It’s not that we kill the bug, it’s that we stop giving a crap and it’s accepted as just the background risk of life.
Reality check.
COVID-19 is airborne.
That means, “in the air, everywhere”.
It is ENDEMIC.
We will ALL get exposed..over and over.
MANY of us will “test positive”, mostly without symptoms.
SOME of us will be “symptomatic”, and a subset will be really sick.
And (unfortunately) a FEW of us will die.
This is NOT the Bubonic plague.
This is NOT the Spanish Influenza.
You can’t mask it away.
You can’t [anti]”socially distance” it away.
You can’t even “deep clean” it away.
And {{{shudder}}} YOU CAN’T EVEN VACCINATE IT AWAY!
Tear off that face diaper.
Breathe deeply. Inhale some COVID.
Build up your immune system.
And LIVE!
Dachshundpox next, and Kittypox is in the pipeline.

I was never “checked in” either. And like I’ve said for well over two years, define “case”.
Monkeypox is just a new type of aids. At least, regarding how it’s transmitted. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Corrupt deep state Democrat RINOs were the crisis.
Not COVID.
You have to mask your genitals for monkey pox, though. 🙂
My wife works at a hospital. They are averaging only 3 covid patients in the hospital daily.
Yes, they these cute latex masks for that.
My wife works at a hospital. They are averaging only 3 covid patients in the hospital daily. Not new admissions, just 3 patients.
The eventual shift from pandemic to endemic.
Not only is the COVID cat out of the bag, the cat ran away.
Spot on, until they contaminate the blood supply.
Interesting how it just went away when people finally had enough of the insanity and went back to living like sane people. The Left, of course, will say that it’s because Joe Biden defeated the virus through forced “vaccination”, but I think the reality is that by going back out and mingling en masse, people passed the weaker Omicron version around and built up herd immunity. In other words, by doing the opposite of everything that Fauci, the “health care experts”, and the government told us to do, WE ended the virus (for all practical purposes - I realize it’s not physically gone).
When they demand I stay inside, but leave the border wide open,
I know they’re LYING.
Cat don’t matter. What matters is that the human brain really isn’t geared towards long term threat. Especially if they’re vague and out of our control. Short term easily identified threats, like a wild animal, or a fire, we’re good at that. But long term and vague, forget about it. Like during the Cold War, how much did we really worry about getting nuked? Sure every once in a while a news report or movie or something would stir it up and people would be uptight for a while. But eventually we always reset to “meh” and went on with our lives. Happens with every plague too. AIDS, herpes, Spanish Flu, Black Death. Humanity always lands on “meh”.
We're so over this crap.
