A Christian pastor from Utah trended nationally on social media for hours on Tuesday over a tweet he posted concerning female modesty.
Though pastor Brian Sauvé received much support from men and women alike, he became a target for outraged feminists, some of whom sent Sauvé racy photos of their breasts and other body parts.
“Dear Ladies,” started the tweet that set off Twitter. “There is no reason whatsoever for you to post pictures of yourself in low cut shirts, bikinis, bra and underwear, or anything similar—ever. Not to show your weight loss journey. Not to show your newborn baby. Not to document your birth story.” ... Giving an example, Sauvé outlined: “If a man were to send you unsolicited nude pictures or sexually explicit videos of himself, you would (rightly!) judge him as a sexually abusive pervert. But you can do it to me? How does the ethical math work out on that? Maybe your sexual ethics aren’t so ethical after all.”

What a clever post.
Not magic my friend.....sacred. I get your joke however.
Off topic but did you know quarterback Steve Young wore the garments under his uniform for every game?
Because he knows a lot of Christian pastors have trouble controlling their urges.
A wise FB friend friend observed that “the insulted howling is really a reaction of the inner demon’s sin being convicted” - or something like that, but it made a lot of sense.
Reminds me of the Whittaker Chambers quote “Innocence seldom utters outraged shrieks. Guilt does.”.
“....became a target for outraged feminists, some of whom sent Sauvé racy photos of their breasts and other body parts.”
It was that easy!
I agree with him 100%.
Yes I knew that.
Seemed to me that he was admonishing them to not post those racy, sexually explicit photos even under the guise of it being an innocuous topic.
If they want to post about their newborn baby or weight loss journey, fine, but adding those pictures. They don’t NEED to add sexually explicit photos to go with it.
Those topics have just become an excuse for doing what they could not justify any other way.
Ew. They’re probably gross. Feminazis are usually kind of hideous looking.
And certain generations just love the opportunity to take and post pictures of themselves all over the place. Such a self-centered lot.
Why are you staring at my yoga pants pervert!
Yes, it is a great message. Bravo!
Same here.
Hmm.
Unless we fall upon the Rock and find ourselves broken, then the Blood of Redemption can make us whole and new.
Sometimes a gentle touch, sometimes a truth and action. The ultimate is the Holy Spirit making the person aware. We are just a voice.
The voice they chose to respond to is critical. Life or death.
I am so thankful for the wife that God gave me.
When we met (sept 77, she was 20, I was 23) we were living like and looking like the world: tight and fancy, following the fashion trends of that time when out on the town. Yet we had a fear of God that kept us from crossing certain behavior lines. We didn’t do drugs or smoke anything. We were still virgins (right up to wedding night, 8-12-78).
But God called us to holiness in 82, and being born again (Acts 2:38,39), we saw that modesty is God’s way.
My wife is a genetic freak of sorts. In two weeks she’ll be 65, and still has the same 5’6 1/2”, 125# frame and figure. She doesn’t dye her hair (maybe 10% gray now).
She quit makeup in 83. And while it was a changed look, she really didn’t wear that much: one color of skin tone, some mascara, and lipstick. She said that she only started wearing it when she was 16, and that’s because all her friends were. I love her natural face. It’s pure from artificial ingredients.
I admit that I liked seeing her marvelous curves in tight clothing while we were dating. But when we were married, I noticed how men would stare at her, and wasn’t thrilled about it. When she chose to wear dresses (or long skirts) and stop wearing slacks, jeans, and shorts, I was agreeable with her decision.
She has had men approach her, saying things like “thank you for being modest in your appearance”, or “I wish my wife would dress like you”.
Its sad that young women think that they have to dress like whores in order to fit in with society.
That was great. Thanks for the link!
As a woman and a Christian I’m glad he spoke up. There is way too much skin being shown by women every day. Think about the message you are sending. Don’t for a minute judge a man on his thoughts or feelings regarding the female form if you choose to be immodest. You are the one who is trolling for attention.
Has the Pastor been banned from Twitter yet?
They already have their magic underwear.....the victoria secret kind.
