Study suggests climate change was killing people 13,000 years ago Scientists say battle wounds mean people were fighting over resources

"Territorial and environmental pressures triggered by climate changes are most probably responsible for these frequent conflicts between what appears to be culturally distinct Nile Valley semi-sedentary hunter-fisher-gatherers groups," the study said.

The cemetery holds the remains of 61 people, and it was excavated in the 1960s.

"Over 100 previously undocumented healed and unhealed lesions were identified on both new and/or previously identified victims, including several embedded lithic artefacts. Most trauma appears to be the result of projectile weapons and new analyses confirm for the first time the repetitive nature of the interpersonal acts of violence," the study found.

“Because human violence never existed before this. It suddenly started after glacier melt accelerated. heh.”

Lol... The concept is getting downright silly now...

And, the reason “Can’t we all just get along?” never works. Sooner of later some POS wants to be the boss of everybody. As you said, it’s the way we are.

“Resources” is just the so-called intellectual’s privileged definition of the word “stuff.”

These people were fighting over “stuff” because some people had stuff other people wanted and didn’t give it up graciously.

Oh, BS.

It’s not about resources.

It’s a power struggle.

No different than in Chicago today except the weapons are more advanced. It’s not climate change.

The desire to conquer and rule is innate in man. That is just the way we are.

Total crap, indeed. Study the history of mankind and it's nothing but nonstop war. It's pathetic people have to ancient warfare to changing climate. It was megalomania infecting Kings, Emperors, and tribal Chieftains bent on conquest that drove war.

Oh good lord - all wars are over RESOURCES.

“Climate change” had nothing to do with it. Resources are, by definition, limited and it’s why Marxism fails - every time.

Further proof that climate change is a farce.

A warmer planet is a greener planet with longer growing seasons, more liquid water, and a greater abundance of flora and fauna generally. I don’t think this is in dispute. So their theory of increased competition over dwindling resources would have to be based on a time of cooling, not warming, yet I have a feeling that if I read the article I’d find they’re claiming that warming was the culprit.

No, no, no, it was infrastructure they were fighting over. Racial infrastructure.

And that is exactly what the plan is... Prepare for and act on global warming so that when the cold hits it will reduce population twice as effectively. We are intentionally being set up for a worse case of failure.

frequent conflicts between what appears to be culturally distinct Nile Valley semi-sedentary hunter-fisher-gatherers groups

I think this may have been the bigger contributor to the conflicts.

It’s refreshing to hear that they are now telling us climate change was happening 13,000 years ago. It proves that modern living isn’t the culprit.

While a valid, logical point, it only proves that systemic racism was affecting all of them that far back. Oh, yes, you're a racist, too!

Insect colonies will fight. So will animals.

Ergo war is natural.

All ‘wars’ have been fought for the same reason:

Who gets to collect the TAXES.

Before money was invented, it was grain, fruit, dried meats, etc.....
