Fake News won't cover it fairly, though.
he was refusing to get out of the car.
Nope, watched the entire clip, cop should have been fired, Army officer did everything right. Even the young police officer new his partner was wrong.
Good, that didn’t take long. We are so lucky for cameras and video. Without them, this officer could have been murdered by the bad officer. All law enforcement should have and public be encouraged to film their actions. A little sunshine is good, especially when it outs bad behavior and abuse like this officer showed.
Sure there is another side. The soldier refused a police order to vacate the vehicle and as for his gun being drawn, how can you blame him when it has been open season on cops all across this country for yrs now.
I watched the video and it appears both cops had drawn their weapon. Why was only one fired?
Read the ramblings of all the freepers this morning on another thread about this... All I have to say is history has shown us that 95% of the time initial reports victimized the black man. But then we heard and seen the real story. Unfortunately by then the damage has already begun...
Freepers on each side want their desired culprit hung out to dry.
Won’t stop the lawsuit.
Department trying to reduce damages?
I just want the truth first. Was the alleged victim refusing to comply with a lawful order?
All law enforcement should have and public be encouraged to film their actions.

Body cams on cops protect both sides.
His hands were outside of the window. He was not a threat. This was a dramatic escalation, and the officer could be clearly heard making a threat. For what? Their reason for pulling him over was an outright lie, the temp tag is clearly visible in their video.
This should not and does not have anything to do with race. If this was a white man, the press likely wouldn’t have covered it, but the officer’s actions were still inappropriate.
There, fixed it.
Did you see the whole film? I didn’t think so Perry Mason. The man said his seatbelt was still buckled and he was afraid they would shoot him as he was trying to undo it. This was a valid reason. It’s happened before. They were there with pistols aimed right at him and so he froze to not give provocation. he repeatedly asked for their supervisor. They pepper sprayed him for no reason. His hands were visible and he was in no danger to anybody. The officers could have holstered their weapons or an officer could have come in on the passenger side and undo his seatbelt or go get a supervisor. The officers were 100% in the wrong.
When the police ask you to get out of your car, you get out of your car and THEN ask why you have been stopped. What this troop and apparently you failed to understand is his vehicle may have been similar to another one recently reported to have committed a crime.
Refusing to exit his vehicle would signal to me that the guy is hiding something. He did ask why he was stopped and they told him to exit the vehicle and it would be explained. Yet the big shot 2nd Lt (they are the laughing stock of the military anyway) decided he would get into a pissing contest with the Police.
It is obvious the police felt they were in danger and they were being hyper cautious. There is more to this story. The cop was fired because the powers that be are totally intimidated and scared shitless of a riot by the marauding jerk offs who seem to be in charge of the Country and are above the law.
Mkay. So no retraining a veteran? Just fire him, huh?
Read post thirteen.
My objection is to the MEDIA trying this case...they are so biased.
I know there are bad cops though I believe most are good.
Second Lt. Caron Nazario, who is Black and Latino..
I didn't know we had a black US army. Where's its HQ?
Cops were giving conflicting commands on getting out of the car. That’s actually a good way for the driver to get shot no matter which instructions they followed - there are several cases where this happened, the driver followed one officer’s instructions and the other officer shot him.
Poor training on the department’s part.
