Just tell me when the vote is scheduled and completed. Until then . . . no trust that a bomb wont go off to stop it. How soon can they vote, for Petes sake?!The resolution will be at 7:30 PM EDT, the vote will be at 8:00 PM, Justice Amy Coney Barrett will be on Laura tonight at 10:00 PM {just kidding on that last one}.

He said tonight at the White House if the timing was right.

BTW, one comment last week that the 4-4 decision to let Pennsylvania count ballets received days after election day could be revisited with an emergency writ. If she is on the court she could rule not to allow this, essentially shutting down Philadelphia Dem’s plans to commit massive fraud.
I’m not a lawyer so don’t know how realistic this scenario might be.

Women and especially women judges tend to be equivocal.
While that can be true, as women are social creatures and are more likely to pick up a vibe from the group, that is not the case for a woman who isn't already ruined (Mrs. Clinton, Janet Reno, Sotomayor, Kagan, and yes Sandra Day O'Connor) when it comes to Mama Bear instincts. I expect Justice Comey to be aligned with Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Scalia on issues regarding abortion, religion, the sexes and parental rights.
It makes a difference that she embraced motherhood and did NOT live her life chasing this spot (unlike say Mrs. Clinnton) or made it her life (like say, childless Angela Merkel). If she had to choose between the seat and any of her children, she would pick her child, which makes her well-suited for the seat. Sarah Palin isn't judicial material, but the fire intensified her, it didn't weaken her.

There’s an observed... leaning... tendency... whatever, but it’s not universal among women; it’s very much case-by-case, so to speak if it in the general case is, I think, unwarranted.
There are many powerful exceptions.
Hello, Margaret Thatcher, for one.
ACB has already proven she’s an exception.
I don’t share your trepidation.

I agree.
However she has already shown to be a bit of a woman scorned. When all the nattering heads are saying “I feel sorry for Amy! She is being taken advantage of by Donald!”
That could make her VERY pissed off.

It’s not an absolute certainty either way, but I think nominating her is a lot riskier than a guy with similar originalist credentials. I think Trump did this mainly for political advantage which I don’t think he needed.

So explain to us then why men go to the left. Same reason Adam went along with Eve in the Garden.

What I said is generally the rule, but as I said, there are exceptions. However, today the exception is the hard and fast rule.

Er, no. If he’d nominated a male, it would have been Kavanaugh Part 2: Electric Boogaloo Circus. No matter who the male would have been. No way would that appointee have been up for final vote before the election, let alone today.
