Just watched THE SOCIAL DILEMMA and now realize why many of the good people that I know have such diametrically opposing perspectives and such anger disrespect and hate for other opinions. The SOCIAL DILEMMA manipulations occur in social media platforms but also are present on every other large scale website like CBSNBCCNNPBSFOXABC NETFLIX AMAZON. Our opinions are being manipulated and massaged into hate and intolerance of each other. For what end? What is to be gained for the elite by formenting this level of hatred and rage except to devestate the country and gain unprecedented power and control? The only solution is to disbelieve all "news and information " and talk to ones neighbors and friends with open minds. Remember they do not have any sort of ready access to your information and you are kept away from theirs. And both of you are fed highly manipulated information to elicit charged emotional responses. Citizen driven websites and news gathering is a way around the monolith. Remember nothing is real here on the web. What is real are your neighbors friends and communities. Please share.

Big websites, the web in general, most TV shows and movies made in the past 40 years, every increasing control of EDU in that same time period. People are bombarded from all sides.

Irritated people are more likely to buy things - “consume”. Chaos in the community, and restrictive health mandates, ruin small business. Who benefits? Large businesses. Who pays for media? Large business. The media is beholden to people who want rash consumers and a lack of competition.
Most people are like salmonids. They need to run with the crowd and reproduce, but in the end they all die the same way.
Standing on principles even if it hurts is uncommon. Don’t get me wrong, not all issues are hills to die in. Some are. Once you carefully decide to draw your saber, either weild it to the end, or be willing to fall on it.

My opinion is not manipulated by social media and I hate and I’m intolerant of anyone who wants to kill me because I don’t agree with them. Hate and intolerance is underrated when evaluating one’s life.
Is it hatred and intolerance to not want to convert to evil Islam? Or give in to Rat demands?

Excellent post. I’ve stated before on this forum that there are circumstances in which “hate” can rightfully be considered a virtue. And, ipso facto, the same applies to “intolerance”.
If you or loved ones are active on social media, the video documentary is a must watch. Social media, search engines and propaganda news are far more insidious into manipulating us, our habits, dopamine reward cycles, buying habits, contacts...list goes on.
If you’re addicted to scrolling through social media, your brain is plugged into the matrix, altering reality without you even being aware of it

Now imagine when larger story computers with even more powerful AI come on the scene! Preprogrammed human bots mindlessly following orders will be even easier to create. Elections, protests, riots, social chaos can be orchestrated through such AI.
I’m slowly beginning to believe that the “beast” mentioned in revelation 13 is not a man at all, but a supercomputer, brought to AI life. Evil incarnate. Replication of a human appearing to be alive interacting with the planet and just as Tay turned evil in less than a few hours before they unplugged it, so too would such an AI pseudo-human be...Evil incarnate.
The false prophet creates an “image of the beast and gives it life, forcing the world to worship the image and all who do not worship it are killed”. Technologically completely possible in a very few years.

I type this as I watch a chick snap no less than half dozen selfies (narcissist personality disorder) under the palm trees and three couples at different tables, where one person has their phone in front of their face, blocking the view of their partner, half engaged in their brunch date, flipping through social media.

I think a good start would be to have these companies disclose what they have on you. Not just the individual data points. It would be so much mundane information that everyone’s eyes would just glaze over. They need to disclose what conclusions they have drawn from that info. I think that would open a lot of eyes.
NO I think they should be treated as communication utilities. and I also think that the cell phone companies and cable companies need to be treated as utilities.
