The U.S. Department of Homeland Security offers tips for planning for a possible pandemic in relation to the Coronavirus on a preparedness website.
Ready.gov now contains a topic titled, Human Coronavirus Know the facts about Coronavirus. Public health is everyones responsibility. That website redirects to recommendations for how to prepare for a possible pandemic. DHS recommends storing a two-week supply of water and food. Officials also urge Americans to make sure they have all needed prescription medications filled for that time period.
Specifically, DHS recommends:
Before a Pandemic
Store a two week supply of water and food.
Periodically check your regular prescription drugs to ensure a continuous supply in your home.
Have any nonprescription drugs and other health supplies on hand, including pain relievers, stomach remedies, cough and cold medicines, fluids with electrolytes, and vitamins.
Get copies and maintain electronic versions of health records from doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and other sources and store them, for personal reference. Get help accessing electronic health records.
Talk with family members and loved ones about how they would be cared for if they got sick, or what will be needed to care for them in your home.
If a pandemic should break out in the United States, officials urge the public to take steps to limit the spread of the germs to prevent infection. Tips include staying away from those who might be sick, frequent hand washing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your fingers.
DHS recommends:
During a Pandemic
Limit the Spread of Germs and Prevent Infection (emphasis below copied from website, not added by writer)
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.

“A 3 year old could understand this.”
But these are generally long stock speculators with 2 year old baby minds doing the protesting.
At least with this, it appears public utilities would still be functional. That lessens the situation. Having water, gas, electric would make self quarantine almost tolerable.
But our bretheren who are buying into the mania are ignorant co-conspirators in the election of President Sanders.
6 month supply of water?
Where we are in northern VT, if we didn’t leave during the winter we wouldn’t see another person until the snow’s gone in April or May. Everybody has huge freezers filled with venison, moose, bear meat. We all trade with each other for what we want. Neighbors are more like extended family.
Second only to Twinkies and McDonald’s cheeseburgers. I hear they have a couple on display at the Museum of Natural History that were carbon dated to the Ming Dynasty. And they’re still edible.
Booze And Ammo !?!
Two weeks, are we preparing for a blizzard?
The government knowing mu h more than it is telling is ALWAYS true.
Even more so when it's important that you know the whole truth!
Just turn on the TV and you’ll feel better. Every channel is running pro “coronavirus is destroying the world and Trump is letting it happen” programming 24x7. Why repeat the nonsense here?

Just came back from the VA with a bag of drugs in hand that will last until the end of the year... But then again, I am a special case.
I bought a new snow shovel today.
I should be good for two years given that the last two winters are above average in Winter “moisture”.
I have had that in the past, but I don’t consider it an essential to store where I am at.

Look out, the Y2k harpies are back. Watch out when they tell you to buy 5 gallon buckets of hard red winter wheat.
Good for you!!
Hubby has his Rx’s supplied for 90 days.
A year’s worth? That’s nice!!
I read that alcohol kills the virus.
Lay in vodka.
I’m going to.
Only if you live in a high rise apartment building ;-)
