The Senate on Wednesday voted almost entirely along party lines to acquit President Donald Trump on abuse of power.

On the first of two articles of impeachment, Republican Mitt Romney of Utah voted to convict Trump, along with all Democrats and independents.

Trump is expected to be acquitted in the vote on the second article, obstruction of Congress, in a party-line vote with all Republicans voting to acquit and all Democrats voting to convict

Actually, that’s not how logic works. The one who makes the claim is the one responsible for proof. The burden of proof is ALWAYS on the one making the claim.

Now, you’ve made several claims:

1. Mitt Romney is an LDS bishop.

Is he a bishop right now or was he a bishop in the past? These are not the same thing. I used to be a Gospel Doctrine teacher, but have been released. It is incorrect to identify me as a Gospel Doctrine teacher when I’m no longer one just as it is incorrect to call someone a bishop if he’s been released.

Furthermore, given a typical bishop in my Church spends around 30 hours a week doing unpaid volunteer work, I cannot imagine Romney having the time for any Church calling.

2. Mitt Romney “got the Mormon church to force Hatch to retire”

Do you have any proof for this statement? After all, Hatch was 84 years old and has been a senator for 42 years. Does he have the right to retire and spend his final days with his loved ones?

3. Romney is a “spoiler” against Trump.

I agree 100% I hate that Backstabbing Weasel.

Keep the rhetoric and bias to a minimum, and we’ll get along just fine.

perot (who only some years back outsourced EVERYBODY’S jobs) cost a lot of votes

But saying read my lips and then raising taxes didn’t help

and being kind of a mush didn’t help

88 percent approval after the war

Oh yeah :)

And that was before we knew he and his sons were in bed with the sauds so much that it’s a miracle they didn’t get pregnant by them.

Hopefully this end the ridiculous and idiotic charade that Joe Manchin is some kind of conservative (or even moderate, for that matter). Sadly, a lot of Freepers fell for that bullshit.

He’s a phony little scumbag, sissy and Schumber buttboy and people in West Virginia must be retarded for continuing to re-elect him to the Senate.

>> Manchin: Democrat first... everything else second. <<

And sadly, numerous FReepers still buy the propaganda that he's an "honorable" and "patriotic" Democrat one of the "old fashioned conservative Democrats still left" and can likely be wooed to switch parties any day now, blah blah blah...

One FReeper even told me he'd vote for Manchin over Romney. I said "vote for the guy who ran as the "NRA endorsed candiate" and THEN stabbed gun-owners in the back and voted for the RATS gun grabbing bill? HELL NO!

Manchin needs to be swiftly defeated by an ACTUAL conservative. The fact he's slightly less socialist than the other RATS in no way makes him an "honorable, patriotic" Dim.

Doubt it. He has no appeal to Democrat voters, except for being a thorn in the President's side.

They love him for that.

It was expected Romney would swing this way. He has a great deal to protect of his families business interests in Ukraine and his churches interests as ‘A Globalist Corporation’ masquerading as a Church...of which Romney holds a leading position.

BTW ..This Corporation serves as a staffing agency for the CIA.

Swiftly? Sadly the next election is in 57 months.

And he may be a retiree, late 70’s.

I think he ended his chance at being Governor again.

Besides Alabama only Michigan looks like a Senate target.

Other competitive rat seats up are in MN and NH but our candidates are lacking, hard to see them win.

We need everyone to vote a straight ticket. No undervoting. The President needs the House back.

House is priority. That must be done. But the Senate is the cherry on top, even if just one seat is gained.

She was over-dramatic in her applause. Her voters will remember that, not her betrayal. It’s up to us to expose her everywhere we can.
