But on Jan. 1, the Utah-based faith will deliver the latest blow to the struggling organization when it pulls out more than 400,000 young people and moves them into a new global program of its own.

The Boy Scouts’ basic image is built on wholesome values. And they just figured they’d throw that all away. How’s that working out?
I thought they did this a while ago, when they decided to allow openly homosexual members in I thought the mormons pulled out, or am I remembering incorrectly.
The Boy Scouts died the day they embraced homosexual scout leaders. Not at all a surprise.
The Mormons take a lot of shots here on FR, but they are to be congratulated for this move. It stands in stark contrast to those made by people like Chick-Fil-A, Hallmark Channel, etc.
It is criminal what the progressives have done to the BSA. It was the finest youth organization ever to develop boys into men. As a former Eagle Scout I look upon those years as my early manhood training. It is in the outdoors we appreciate the world as it is.

Because having girls learning to hike, pitch tents, back,pack is not wholesome for male mormons. Women have a place in their culture. It is not in Scouting.
Coed Scouting ( which exists in every other member of the World Scouting Association except the islamic dominated ones) is a threat to mormon masculinity.
They learned that some of the gay scoutmasters had given their targets alcohol.

This is a big deal. Many years ago the Mormon church decided to not have a youth program for young males, and instead decided it would direct its young males to become Boy Scouts. They were all-in on the Boy Scouts.
The BSA has lost over half of its membership in the last 20 years, and member will continue to erode, and as it erodes they will continue to increase membership fees, which will cause more erosion. Today, the Mormons represent about 20% of current BSA membership. That will be a big hit.
In many ways, the decline of the BSA reminds me of the decline of mainline protestant churches. They water down the message so as not to offend the easily offended, then instead of retaining their membership levels they lose the devout. Instead of drawing in more members, their total numbers decline. Then they relax long-time traditions, and instead of retaining their membership levels they lose more. What an idiot. They are leaving because the Boy Scouts got Woke and turned into a gay and lesbian organization. The Mormons were at least strong enough to tell them to get lost, it is against our beliefs.
The leaders of my religious organization are too woke to care about this, they see it as a win.

Good for them. In this PC world the Campfire Girls org was changed to Campfire Boys and Girls destroying them because diversity or some such stupid thing.
The aim of the Left all along has been to destroy the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts.
They hate and fear anything not controlled by the State.
