This is a big deal. Many years ago the Mormon church decided to not have a youth program for young males, and instead decided it would direct its young males to become Boy Scouts. They were all-in on the Boy Scouts.

The BSA has lost over half of its membership in the last 20 years, and member will continue to erode, and as it erodes they will continue to increase membership fees, which will cause more erosion. Today, the Mormons represent about 20% of current BSA membership. That will be a big hit.

In many ways, the decline of the BSA reminds me of the decline of mainline protestant churches. They water down the message so as not to offend the easily offended, then instead of retaining their membership levels they lose the devout. Instead of drawing in more members, their total numbers decline. Then they relax long-time traditions, and instead of retaining their membership levels they lose more. It’s worse than this. They invited anti-Christians to run their organization.
This is what corporate dollars means. With corporate dollars came positions on Boards of Directors. That’s why there was a push for homosexuals and against being “morally straight”.

I don’t agree with LDS theology, but commend them for separating from a corrupt institution like the Boy Scouts. In recent weeks, Hallmark and Chick-Fil-A caved into the SJW crybullies. For my part, I requested a refund of the balance on my Chick-Fil-A app. The man answering the phone was polite and after agreeing to a refund, asked me to the company statement about their charitable contribution program. I noted that Chick-Fil-A has given funds to Covenant House, a homeless program in New York founded by a pederast. I’m sorry about the franchise owners and employees, but conservatives and Christians must boycott them.

25 years ago my town had 3 solid Troops - one was sponsored by the Lutheran Church, one was by the Lions Club and another was by the American Legion.

We are now down to one struggling troop sponsored by the Lions Club. The other 2 troops disbanded due to lack of members.
