Internet-famous cat Lil Bub has died, as BrooklynVegan notes. On the morning of Sunday, December 1 2019 we lost the purest, kindest, and most magical living force on our planet, Bubs dude Mike Bridavsky announced. Bub was cheerful and full of love laying in our bed with us Saturday night, but unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep. Lil Bub was 8 years old.

It was a CNN reporter who killed the cat.
(See, I can start Fake news, too.)
...lost....
It mustve been shot during the execution of a red flag warrant.
What a cute kitteh. I didn’t know li’l bub was a thing until too late, apparently.
Whew! I thought it was the cat that zings the blond that is yelling at him. That would be a loss!
You seem.......nice.
Must suck to have such a cold, mean, black little heart
The loss of any beloved pet by its owner is horrible. My heart goes out to Lil Bub’s family. I hope they can rescue a new kitten who is the exact shape of the void the death of Lil Bub left in their hearts.
The same chemical in onions that cause tears in our eyes is the culprit in killing cats. We humans have an enzyme that breaks it down that cats and canines lack. Yes, onion can kill dogs too, but it takes a larger dose to do it. That chemical will bind with the red blood cells in a cat or dogs blood and prevent it from binding oxygen. The animals immune system responds by killing the red blood cells, which then overwhelms the oxygen starved liver and kidneys. Meanwhile the cat is trying to purge from both ends, further weakening it.
The only treatment is whole volume blood transfusion before symptoms start if you know your pet has ingested onion, a difficult thing to know, and support with oxygen for the few healthy blood cells left.
Symptoms start about ten hours after ingestion, too late to do much, except support and hope the chemical will be metabolized quickly enough and the cat is strong enough for his/her blood marrow to replace the killed red blood cells quickly enough for your pet to survive and recover.
“Who in their right mind gives a damn?”
Most people in their right mind, and who respect pets as God’s creatures, give a damn. And then there are people like you.
You’re lucky never to have experienced the loss of something or someone you care about.
Never heard of Lil Bub, but he sure is cute! And love Grumpy Cat.
We lost our Rose a few years ago. An Australian Red Heeler we adopted from a Mexican migrant worker working the cabbage crop every year. She came home to our farm, said and did nothing for a month while she studied our farm schedule, roles, and chores. First day of the next month she ran the place and never left my side until she passed right next to me at age 18. Best person I ever had the gift to hang out with for 16 years.
“Who in their right mind gives a damn?”
People who have empathy with all of God’s creatures. People who don’t give a damn are missing some of their heart.
She had quite a following on Instagram, though (including me)and did a lot of good for other animals with the funds she raised. Given the number of health problems she had, I am not surprised she died early but it's still very sad.
and most magical living force on our planet...
Or judging by the words of the psychedelic vegan owner, it died of malnutrition
My cat Spaghetti is 12 and runs like a 3 year old.
Especially when I chase him with the chainsaw :)
Probably died from embarrassment.
Very sorry to hear that.
:-(
OK all you emotional SJWs, I give up, err..., NOT!
Yes it was one of God’s creatures, but an Animal nonetheless.
Do you weep and wring you hands for insects?
Why not?
Wow. Just wow. No words can adequately describe you.
