Sen. David Perdue OKs Silicon Valley Takeover of College Graduate Job Market

Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) now supports Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) green card giveaway bill, which will allow investors to reward many more Indian graduates for taking middle-class jobs from American college graduates. Perdue’s decision to end his opposition to the bill clears the way for Lee to rush his bill through the Senate on Thursday. If no other senators object, Lee’s bill will move through the Senate, putting it much closer to becoming law.

I am surprised at the lack of interest on this thread...

The thread about Melania’s pumps has more replies! They are great shoes, but future of country does not hinge on her fashion choices...

Yes, the Indian lobby, the India lobby, the Tech titan lobby, and the globalist lobbies are all out in force...

Problem is the US family does not have anyone to lobby (i.e. wine and dine, and bribe) our elected “representatives!”

Hoping more folks see this before it is too late.

I live in Minnesota.

My chances of being listened to are slim and none.

Senator Mike Lee’s top contributor is the “Club for Growth” who actively opposed President Trump in 2016. They are Never Trumpers. They are also the 4th highest contributor to Senator Perdue.

American workers have been had by both big government (Democrats) and big business (Republicans).

I hear ya...I am in IL!!! Ugh! Senator Duckworth is a co-sponsor, but I am still emailing/calling anyway...Both Dems and RINOs are supporting this...

My thinking on this:

I hate idea of saying nothing (even if they won’t listen)...and since both Dems and GOP are supporting this, important all hear from us...

Yes both parties are supporting this...What a grand gesture of bipartisanship/SARC :/

And hopefully someone will vote no...It only takes one Senator to stop Unanimous Consent...and perhaps if we get another delay, more people will get wind of this. No one knows who that one senator might be—or their party affiliation...so may not be a waste of time...

I figure if word gets out that US citizens in fly-over country (Trump base) are upset, it will get back to Trump and help give him support to VETO this turd.

Thing is, Visa Creep is expanding to other occupations such as medical and accounting/office positions—good jobs that have helped support the middle class of middle America.

If we can protect steel workers’ jobs, then why not IT jobs as well?

And I am contacting Trump next week...this is not MAGA!

The Trump rally in Houston—for Indians (India) puts Trumps seal of approval on this thing. This needs to be stopped in the Senate—the last off ramp.

Free market capitalism operates without regulatory meddling.

You are describing certain CEO's, bankers, and would-be investors to demand the government to meddling in the free market through immigration laws free market capitalism has no business controlling. If the option is seek cheaper labor, then move out of the country.

Free market capitalism does not promote invasion through government meddling. What you are describing is authoritative corporatism which is the exact opposite of a free market because their biggest weapon is a politician.

Perdue cut work in India from bio
10/13/14

Georgia Republican David Perdue worked for an Indian company between his time running Dollar General and his decision to run for the Senate — a period that was removed from his business website’s biography shortly before he announced his campaign last spring.

Perdue had a senior consulting role at Indian chemical textile conglomerate Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd. (GHCL) between 2007 and 2009, helping the company, as it looked into creating retail operations in India. He rarely if ever brings up his work for that company on the campaign trail, and his time with GHCL has not previously been reported on.

Leaked videos partially pull back curtain on Mormon church
By BRADY McCOMBS and MICHELLE L. PRICE
October 3, 2016

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — In leaked videos, Mormon leaders discuss concerns about the growth of the gay rights movement and hear from a former U.S. senator and church member who tells them the Iraq war could open the door for new converts, according to footage that pulls back the curtain on a religion that is closely guarded about its inner workings.

(snip)

Smith also discussed how devout Mormons in the Senate and other public office offer the church access and influence.

He describes how a former Indian ambassador to the U.S. helped him secure 200 visas for Mormon missionaries to establish “a pattern of dealing” in order to circumvent Indian bureaucracy. He suggests they use other Mormon senators — Mike Crapo of Idaho, Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett of Utah, and Harry Reid of Nevada — in similar ways.

The country and it’s economy will benefit by substituting the current low skill/low wealth/low education immigrants with college educated immigrants

We'd benefit even more by replacing them with Americans.

So long as US remains a capitalist country, this situation is going to continue.

A thriving middle class is a precondition for a stable capitalist country - and salary depression through mass immigration is poison to a thriving middle class. American immigration policy must benefit America, not a narrow-minded "free market"-uber-alles ideology.
