Chinese ‘Scholars’: English Language Is a ‘Dialect’ of Mandarin
Breitbart ^ | 10 Sep 2019 | John Hayward

Posted on 09/11/2019 12:30:00 AM PDT by Zhang Fei

A group of Chinese scholars has suggested that many contemporary Western languages, including English, were derived from Mandarin Chinese.

According to their research, the French, German, and Russian languages were also strongly influenced by Chinese culture.

According to a report at the Inquirer on Tuesday, the claim by Chinese scholars at the World Civilization Research Association was first presented at a summit in Beijing last July, but has not been widely discussed with international media until now.

The claim came with a hearty dose of Chinese nationalism, as the group asserted everything Europeans believe about the influence of ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome on their language and culture was invented to conceal the much more important influence of China upon the inferior Western civilizations. In fact, Egypt, Greece, and Rome were supposedly modeled on ancient China as well.

“Do not let fake Western-centered history hinder the great Sino-Renaissance!” advised group founder Du Gangjian.

True. It’s even absorbed name brands.

For example, I was at the optometrist the other day. A Chinese man was visiting with the doctor. The doctor told him “you have a cataract.”

The Chinese man responded “Cataract?! No, I have a Lincoln Continental!”

“I entered a store, and the shopkeeper said,
“Wa ya wan?”
____________

That must have been a Malaysian shop keeper. A Chinese Singaporean would have phrased it:

“You want what la?”

The integrated mode of thought was invented by Thales and the ancient Greeks. That is the mode of thought that is responsible for the superior achievements of the white race.

The retard in this report is strong.
If you study and know other languages, you’ll know that Mandarin is in no way related to even Slavic languages, much less Germanic or Romance languages.

The Soviets pulled this BS with Romanians during the Ceausescu regime stating that the Romanian language came from Russian/Slavic - total BS!

Would you ever expect a state sponsored Chinaman to tell the truth? Really?

Not surprised by their propaganda campaign.
That tactic is par for the course with them.

“Once I learned how to transliterate, I was shocked at how similar Russian and English are.”

Hmm...when I was deployed to Uzbekistan, I studied Russian to better communicate with the locals who worked on our base. Once I learned to hear as well as see Cyrillic (which is modified Greek) I saw the foreign origin of many Russian words.

As for Russian grammar, my years of studying Latin proved useful, as both languages conjugate similarly with verb endings and both have declensions of nouns; five in Latin and six in Russian.

I can still read Cyrillic and a lot of the meaning just leaps out.

Romanian comes directly from Latin, from the days when the region was Roman-controlled Dacia. Slavic? Ha!

Ceausescu was one crazy dictator. Hard to find the footage of him & his evil wife being gunned down, but worth the search.

That sounds exactly like what Russians try to do with their attempts at expanding territory.

Forcefully move in thousands of Russian peasants into Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, Kaliningrad, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and so forth.
Then claim that their people are being mistreated as a pretense for invasion.

It seems that the Chinese have stupid scholars, just like our stupid scholars. I see there is at least one in Sweden, too.

I’ve always been of the opinion that Greek and Latin influenced Slavic languages a whole lot more than the opposite as we are told by the propagandists. I can understand the Greek influence through the church, but I’m real curious about how Latin helped shape Russian (if at all?).

The English language has so many influences that several well written books about its origins are out there. I never get tired of reading about it.

I was in Romania for a few months way back in the early 2000’s. I speak Spanish fluently and it took me only a week to fully understand about 80-90% of what was being spoken to me. I could easily communicate basic conversation by the time I was leaving.

The Latin roots of the language are very noticeable, but you can also hear the Germanic/Slavic tones as well.

I’ve seen the video footage you mention - LOL. Hard to find a couple less deserving of that fate.

I’ve been personally told by many Chinese that English is a VERY DIFFICULT language for them to learn.

A couple of years back I stuck my toe into Mandarin—exploring languages is one of my odd hobbies. Mandarin is pretty much devoid of grammar. English with all of its grammar might well be hard for Chinese to wrap their minds around. On the other hand, while hard to master, English is not that bad for getting by in. “no tickee, no shirtee” could be an example.

Of course there are languages that have gobs of grammar. Russian is one that I know from painful experience. Unless you have a knack for it, grammar your language lacks can hard to absorb.

The two languages are very similar:

CH: “No tickee no laundlee!”
EN: “No ticket, no laundry!”

There really could be something to this.
