Chinese ‘Scholars’: English Language Is a ‘Dialect’ of Mandarin
Breitbart ^ | 10 Sep 2019 | John Hayward

Posted on 09/11/2019 12:30:00 AM PDT by Zhang Fei

A group of Chinese scholars has suggested that many contemporary Western languages, including English, were derived from Mandarin Chinese.

According to their research, the French, German, and Russian languages were also strongly influenced by Chinese culture.

According to a report at the Inquirer on Tuesday, the claim by Chinese scholars at the World Civilization Research Association was first presented at a summit in Beijing last July, but has not been widely discussed with international media until now.

The claim came with a hearty dose of Chinese nationalism, as the group asserted everything Europeans believe about the influence of ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome on their language and culture was invented to conceal the much more important influence of China upon the inferior Western civilizations. In fact, Egypt, Greece, and Rome were supposedly modeled on ancient China as well.

“Do not let fake Western-centered history hinder the great Sino-Renaissance!” advised group founder Du Gangjian.

As a wise man once said, "a language is a dialect with an army and a navy". Any language on China's borders that wanted to avoid being demoted to a dialect required a significant army, at the very least. And over thousands of years, China's land area has expanded 200-fold since the days of the Xia dynasty from which it claims its 5000-year recorded history.

The Tower of Babel story in the Bible may contain more of an explanation as to the roots of language.

So the original Star Trek should have had Chekov and Sulu arguing over who invented everything?

I see that they have leftard manipulated 'scholars' there in China just as we have here in the US - the same deranged falsified statements to cater to the leftist agenda. Strongly influenced by chinese culture ? How do you say 'Bull Shit' in mandarin ? I would in turn 'propose' that china right now has been extremely influenced by european/american culture/science/economics/philosopy/language to an extent MAGNITUDES more than any piddley thousand-odd year old influences, AND English is likewise the largest influence on all others worldwide TODAY. - Oops, babelfish didnt translate that into characters our english/american computers make use of. niú shǐ Used in a sentence - "chinese government controlled 'scholars' spew much sad 'niú shǐ' as part of their jobs."

So China was such a superior culture ...

that it allowed itself to be dominated and controlled by “inferior” Western countries for centuries?

Oh yeah, that makes total sense

Omigosh! They’re going to start a war with all the Professors of Afrocentric Studies on college campuses everywhere, who claim that all “culture” was invented by blacks in Africa, and then “stolen” from them by whites, starting with Greeks or Egyptians, then Romans, then Europeans, then Americans.

"How do you say 'Bull Shit' in mandarin ?"

Maybe hushuo. And no, I don't speak or write in Mandarin, but it's fun to try looking it up. :)

Fake scholarship. The linguistic similarities between the Indo-European languages and their dissimilarities with Mandarin Chinese are just too strong to explain away with propaganda. You also have to dispense with common sense to accept the idea that the English language was more influenced by a country halfway around the world who had no direct contact England until the last 400 years than countries in close proximity who have historical ties going back 2,000 years.

Yes, it appears that some people in Chinese academia and government are first trying to incrementally absorb the nations of people who look like them. Some in China have even said that Japan should be part of China, because Japanese people left China to populate Japan long ago.

And the way some people there see it, “the Yellow River runs out to the sea” (much historical symbolism with many folk stories behind it). And so with Chinese influence. It’s part of a train of thought about past domination of China by western nations and a desire to do something similar with the West and the world. It’s a concept similar to fairness in their thinking. There is something similar to a superior race and/or superior culture line of thought there.

Racism in China is often more subtle than most people in the West imagine. It’s different. It’s much more hidden in plain sight than in the West, if you can imagine that.

Hold on there a minute, Chinese scholars. I believe we learned from Gus Portokalos in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" that Greek is the root of most languages.

You know, the root of the word Miller is a Greek word. Miller come from the Greek word "milo," which is mean "apple," so there you go. As many of you know, our name, Portokalos, is come from the Greek word "portokali," which mean "orange." So, okay? Here tonight, we have, ah, apple and orange. We all different, but in the end, we all fruit.

Kimono, kimono, kimono. Ha! Of course! Kimono is come from the Greek ord himona, is mean winter. So, what do you wear in the wintertime to stay warm? A robe. You see: robe, kimono. There you go!

There are two kinds of people - Greeks, and everyone else who wish they was Greek.

I rest my case.
