I agree with your assessment. Though I will say this , here has been quiet regarding quakes. Yes we had some shakers here and there. However, the more the State of California becomes a Lawless State the more shakers are becoming frequent. Someone is not happy from above.

yep would put it about halfway between Trona and the Charlie Manson ranch, south of “the racetrack” in death valley, very desolate, we used to be able to explore around there in off road vehicles,but all the roads have been gated off by BLM after the big environmentalist land grab in the 80’s

I was at work, and my computer started shaking. Messaged the boss, saying that I thought we might be having an earthquake. He laughed. About a min later, someone else told him the same thing. Then we saw the news reporting on it in LV.

After the 6.4 a few days ago, a USGS Scientist (had a PhD) said that a larger quake could occur in the next few weeks.
So a larger one did occur. Could warning have been given with the Magnitude 5 quake that occurred 3 minutes before the Magnitude 7.1 occurred.
The USGS would be the ones to speculate on the meaning on this.
