Our 41st president was the most honorable, decent and capable of gentlemenas close to the ideal of the office as anyone in our lifetimes. If youre looking for a role model, I told my children when they were growing up, start with George Bush.

He did his part to overturn Reagan’s accomplishments. He just didn’t have enough time.

Agree with you! Here we are in a thirty year war in the Middle East because of Old Bushie. How many lives have been lost because of the old CIA guy’s grudge against those Arabic people?
The Barforama will go on until Thursday, when they finally plant the old lech. My TV will be off until he’s six feet under.

No, but I’ve been to Chesterfield County Virginia.
We now have barrios thousands of miles from the border.

Reagan never said a bad word about anyone. And don’t forget...Reagan had dementia for his last twenty years...or longer.

One can get a good idea of what he stood for by the fact that all the leftists are now praising him.

And he was near perfect if you dont count the lie about taxes
Although it is often stated as a lie, I don’t think a broken promise counts as a lieunless you never meant to fulfill it. When GHW Bush said “Read my lips...”, I’m sure he meant it. Later, he allowed himself to be rolled by the Democrats into breaking the pledge, and as you say, they then rolled him out of office. That and Ross Perot gave us the Clintons (spit).

Sounds good.
My grandfather was one of the lucky ones. He was able to escape in a balloon during the Jimmy Carter Presidency. (”Top Secret”)

Whaaa? Reagan was much smarter and much more conservative. Trump certainly beats GHWB. Hell, I’d even take W in preference.

I prefer President Trump to President New World Order.
To: rktman
Most of the people I see celebrating Bush in the media did everything they could to destroy him. And his son. Of course the establishment right is celebrating him because he is the grandfather of modern day liberal republicanism. I like GHWB. He is overwhelmingly an American success story. Politically, he was a failure and destroyed Reagans momentum. Gingrich saved it for another decade before 43 destroyed it again.
