From decrying illegal immigration to espousing an America First trade policy, from denouncing angry mobs to taking jabs at Crazy Maxine and Pocahontas, few would disagree that when it comes to triggering lefties, President Trump is the ultimate Zen master. And given the presidents almost superhuman ability to drive the Left insane with the push of a few buttons to his Twitter account, one might be forgiven for being surprised that one seemingly ubiquitous Saturday tweet topped all or most of the rest, not by calling someone Horseface (although yeah, that was hilarious) or taking another well-deserved jab at Robert Muellers witch hunt, but by bringing a key issue to light that the Left desperately wants to hide.
Namely - voter fraud.
All levels of government and Law Enforcement are watching carefully for VOTER FRAUD, including during EARLY VOTING, Trump tweeted. Cheat at your own peril. Violators will be subject to maximum penalties, both civil and criminal!
Now if youre a normal person reading this, you might think - Whats the big deal? Isnt Trump basically saying law enforcement will be looking out for, uh, those who, you know BREAK THE LAW? And youd be entirely correct, but remember when it comes to liberals we arent talking about normal people, not on any intellectual or moral level. Were talking about people whose entire lives revolve around obtaining power, retaining power, and using that power to pound the rest of us into submission. By any means necessary. So when Trump or anyone else to the right of center talks about an issue like voter fraud, liberals dont hear law and order or fair elections, but instead they see it as mean-old-Trump trying to take away one of their primary tools for stealing elections.
And they go absolutely ballistic.
The first strategy, of course, is to claim that voter fraud doesnt exist. Its a conspiracy theory, dont you know ...
Voter fraud is virtually non-existent, tweeted the Ohio State Young Democratic Socialists. Wage theft is ubiquitous. Only one gets talked about because we are governed by elites and facists.
Well, alrighty then.
Donald Trump and Republicans know that they have to lie about voter fraudwhich is virtually nonexistentto suppress and intimidate voters in order to win, tweeted Bernie Sanders, because nobody would ever try any funny business to keep him from getting elected.
Dont be fooled by the continued demonization of immigrants, tweeted CNNs Jim Acosta. Voter fraud in this country is actually very rare. What we should be on the lookout for is Russian meddling.
One cannot help but wonder if Acosta is aware that immigrants arent allowed to vote until they become citizens.
VOTER FRAUD is itself a fraud, wrote MSNBC analyst Richard Stengel. The highest measured rate of voter fraud in our elections is 0.0003%. It is virtually non-existent.
Its a common theme, one thats been repeated often since Trump first raised the issue after the 2016 election, and it still begs the question - If voter fraud is so non-existent, why are these geniuses so apoplectic that Trump is concerned about it?
The other tactic is to accuse Trump and others concerned about voter fraud of voter suppression, or trying to keep minorities from voting. But by some of the below reactions, youd think Trump was planning to have hooded KKK members at polling places checking party affiliations and allowing only Republicans to enter.
Shame on you, Mr. President, for trying to intimidate voters, especially while you yourself are under investigation for the most egregious electoral fraud this nation has ever experienced, wrote former Clinton-era Labor Secretary Robert Reich.
Dont let this fearmongering deter you from voting, wrote Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Its your civil right. Its how you make your voice heard. And it scares him more than anything.
Normally this stuff is printed on anonymous, deniable flyers and thrust under minority voters' doors in the dead of night, wailed David Frum.
Seriously, only Frum and his ilk would think eligible-to-vote minorities are so stupid that they would stay away from the polls simply because Trump said authorities would be making sure everyone is eligible to vote.
Singer Bette Midler tried to tattle to Twitters Jack Dorsey: Hey @Jack, this habitual bully is at it again intimidating early voters a.k.a. Good citizens participating in the democratic process that is part of the foundation of this country.
I dont know. Did Trump say citizens werent allowed to vote? Maybe I missed that part, Bette? Of course, theres always the possibility that you and I define citizen differently.
But seriously, in what universe does insisting that one must be properly and legally registered to vote in order to vote amount to voter suppression. Sure, maybe it suppresses the votes of dead people, illegal immigrants and people who planned to vote early and often on election day, but other than that, on what level is insisting on law and order some sort of immoral act?
In other words, there is one logical reason and one logical reason alone why Democrats wail about voter fraud - because they know the practice exists and they expect to benefit from it. Even if the numbers arent in the millions that Trump alleged after 2016, a few thousand or even a few hundred well placed votes can turn the tide in key districts.
And things grow even more murky when Democrats wont even allow investigations into the issue. Case in point, President Trump being forced to dissolve the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity in January because certain Blue States refused to cooperate or give the commission any data.
Might they have something to hide?
Democrats will not push for photo ID requirements to vote because they benefit most from voter fraud, said Matt C. Pinsker, adjunct professor of criminal justice at Virginia Commonwealth University. Despite Democrat claims that it is practically non-existent, the reality is that in every election there have been numerous irregularities reported, the overwhelming majority of which favor Democrats. Despite there being numerous incidents every election cycle, Democrats are correct that prosecutions for voter fraud are rare. In large part, this only is because Democrats have purposefully set up a system which deliberately turns a blind eye and prevents any form of detection or screening.
Even so, some instances have come to light, like here, and here and here, among others. And given the hysteria around the fact that Trump even brought it up, you can bet there are more out there if the issue could somehow achieve a full, comprehensive state-by-state investigation.
After all, if our president werent over the target, he wouldnt be getting so much flak.
Democrats cant win if they dont cheat.
Personally, they should allow voters to beat the hell out of cheaters when theyre caught.
I believe Gillum committed voter fraud and in FL it is a felony
Can't go where you already are.
One false vote is too many although many experts believe it is between 2-3%.
We have both houses of Congress so we pass the law & have the Supreme Court approve it!
Wasted opportunity!!!!
I’m picturing looter-guy with a caption saying “there’s only 0.0003 percent loot’n going on around here.”
Has there ever been an independent investigation of voting fraud by reviewing activities and results at nursing homes?
I’d like to see something along these lines:
Use address data to determine where large quantities of absentee votes are coming from.
Compare with addresses of nursing homes and other facilities for the elderly or handicapped.
Select those with high rates of voting.
Develop lists of voter names/addresses at a “high rate” facility.
Send investigators to research each and every voter at that facility. Ascertain if the voters are compos mentis. Find out if they believe they voted for a particular candidate. Compare with their ballot. Find out who “helped” them vote.
Etc.
This is the mother lode of vote fraud.
President Trump has a lot on his plate, but I hope in his second term he can overhaul the entire voting system. I guess much of that is under state control, but we could tie money to the effort and do a little arm twisting.
Flak is heaviest close to the target.
Throw a rock over a fence and the dog that yelps is the one that got hit.
Give every one of them asylum provided they live in California. Put up tent cities in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and San Francisco.
Since California wants them so bad, they can have them.
> One false vote is too many although many experts believe it
> is between 2-3%.
Do you have a source for that statistic?
I’d like to use it.
But but... How could liberals be in support of fraud? Shouldn’t everyone want a fair election that represents the citizenry of the US? :-/
I disagree. I think it's very important for the states to run their own voting systems without interference from the Fed. Any party in power at the Fed level could abuse this force and nation would be lost.
Plus, central control of voting could enable meddling from foreign powers. It's very difficult to meddle in an election in which voting processes are dispersed.
The article is a lot of regurgitation.
What is being accomplished to stop the fraud in the critical locations where fraud actually effects election outcome?
The action must be before the fact, not after
The punishment must extremely severe. Voter fraud should be a capital crime
“President Trump Takes Aim At Voter Fraud, Liberals Go Berserk”
Potential new GOP slogan, “DemocRATS are the party of voter fraud”.
