Waffle House has continued to have a gun-free zone policy. Here is a statement that Waffle House issued in October 2015 after an attack that was stopped outside their restaurant by a permit holder

Face palm...
Its quite apparent that criminals and luckily customers dont give a $h!t about Waffle House’s company policy.
Profiling of Criminals Works.
Police need to Profile the demographic that commits mass shootings.
I can’t see me ever eating at a Waffle House, but if I did, I wouldn’t give a damn about their policy. Waffle House can’t change the Constitution or make laws. Guess what, when I carry concealed, you can’t tell that I am. LOL
+1
I am not programmed to place honesty over safety.
I don’t necessarily boycott establishments that forbid concealed carry on their property. I walk in anyway.
If they notice I’m carrying, they can get the vapors and ask me to leave. No problem.

A property owner has the right to decide who may access their property and under what conditions they may do so. Your rights include not patronizing that business if you choose not to disarm - but you don’t have the right to trespass on their property.
Its a pretty big company. I wonder if they get some huge insurance break by declaring a gun free zone. I can’t imagine as many nuts and troublemakers show up late night at WH they would have such a policy.
I owned, in partnership, a small
deli sandwiched between a motel
and a lounge. With a sign on the
door allowing ccw. We also offered
free coffee and a donut to the
local LEOS. Given our reputation,
we were not once threatened with
robbery. And in the case of the
occasional belligerent drunk,
the LEOS were there in seconds.
Waffle House is fast becoming
an establishment to be avoided.
All that matters are profits and low premiums for insurance liability. They couldn’t care less if the law abiding are able to defend themselves.
I know the law and how it works. If I were asked to leave because they know I am carrying (not likely) , I’ll smile and leave.
Do you consider yourself to be special and not have to respect other’s property rights?
That sounds like material for many, many billboards around
the communities of the less fortunate.
If ya pulled it out and shot someone to death everyone would know it. And in court they'd paint you as someone who willy nilly ignores rules and the wishes of whoever owned the establishment. That's never good when your butts on the line. And if you accidentally shot an innocent patron, you'd be on the menu.
It's best to avoid these establishments because they don't give a wit about your safety or well being.
I consider myself a survivor, living in a country blessed by God and our Constitution.
Oh, and I do consider myself “special”. LOL
And yet property rights are one of the foundations of our country... I guess you really are special.
