I assume this Washington Post story is true: “FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor former Trump adviser Carter Page.” It confirms what has been sporadically reported since late last year, that the Obama administration sought and ultimately received a FISA order to spy on at least one associate of Donald Trump. So Trump’s famous tweets were, in substance, true.

UPDATE: We are now starting to get a picture of how sinister this whole Democratic Party misinformation campaign is. Through the last half of 2016, the Obama administration was desperately searching for evidence of some link between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia. They went to the length of seeking (twice, reportedly) and finally obtaining a FISA order that allowed them to spy on at least one insignificant Trump associate.
In addition, we now know that Susan Rice headed up an operation whereby raw NSA intelligence was sifted for names of Trump associates, no doubt in hopes of uncovering dirt of some sort.* And we also know that these efforts came up dry. The Obama administration found no compromising information about Trump or any of his associates.
Nevertheless, ever since the Inauguration the Democratic Party, especially its press wing in Washington and New York, has relentlessly pushed the Trump/Russia story. What story? There isn’t one. But that hasn’t stopped Democrats in the press from talking about little else for the last three months.
And yet, all along, the Democrats have known that their spying produced nothing. This whole story is almost unbelievably sordid. The relevant Congressional committees should investigate thoroughly, and criminal prosecutions should follow where laws have been broken.
It is time to get to the bottom of the Obama spy scandal.

Not that he would but maybe Obama’s defenders should pause for a couple of seconds and realize that while they making excuses for Obama that, by precedent, it would be okay for Trump to do the same.

I have a theory that the Trump Team came up with alternative methods to maintain effective communication.
These methods might have been in the open, but not recognizable to the usual snoops looking for it.
1) Burner phones with a very few key players who could have private conversations with the top, yet stay off of the known telephone lines and email channels.
2) Some form of highly obscure blog where entry was controlled under encryption.
3) Hand written notes could easily have been passed, but not effective at the speed of Trump.
I suspect Rudy was behind anything they came up with. Too bad General Flynn wasn't more careful.

Thanks to Rice, Pres Trump will be able to use the full power of the govt's intel apparatus (as Rice did) to spy on political opponents and their aides and associates—to go sifting through all of their personal data and communications, and to selectively unmask certain persons and then leak information in order to attack and embarrass them.
Thanks to Rice, the burden of Hillary-induced delirium has been lifted. Democrats have gone from: "Trump is insane for suggesting the Obama admin spied on him, [to] Susan Rice was just doing her job."

Okay, then Pres Trump needs to do his job. He needs to announce ASAP, that since this is “all legal,” his administration will step up and do the legal thing to protect Americans' safety and security.
They'll be surveilling and unmasking any and all Democrats, on a continuing non-stop basis, particularly Democrats who have talked with foreign ambassadors, foreign financial groups, tropical offshore entities, and the like.
Plus, the Trump administration will ask for the “unmasking” of all those Democrats who are involved in such talks... because it is "legal."
AND Trump will use "Obama’s very own spur-of-the-moment legal rules" to distribute that information to every US intelligence agency. (HAT TIP BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP)

I can’t wait until this scandal is blown wide open. The backlash guarantees the GOP will gain congressional seats not just in the mid-term elections, but 2020 as well, and guarantees President Trump a second term.
It is frosting on the cake if any Democrats actually go to jail.
BTW, since Obama supposedly stayed in Washington to look after welp No. 2 while she was finishing up at that tony private school, its odd that he's been in non extradition French territory for over a month now. Must be nice to have an establishment media cover for you like that

Various talking heads are claiming that the issue of a FISA “warrant” proves that Trump is tied to the Rooskies.
From what I understand Carter Page never was with the campaign or the transition team. The Carter Page thing is another imaginary strawman.

I don’t think it is so curious. Look at what they were doing with the IRS to stamp out Tea Party movements. Once Hillary won, they intended to prosecute enough of the Trump team to insure that Republicans never put up more than token opposition in future elections.
Maybe I should say, continue to put up token opposition, as in, Bob Dole, weasel John McCain, and pretty-boy Milk Romney.
How? That same spying went on all over Washington and that information is used to control the people there....there will be no justice and the deep state owns everyone there. Just look at McCain and Graham’s behavior in the last year....
Really? What were those ties Carter Page had? Let’s see how flimsy or real this bs excuse was.
