I assume this Washington Post story is true: “FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor former Trump adviser Carter Page.” It confirms what has been sporadically reported since late last year, that the Obama administration sought and ultimately received a FISA order to spy on at least one associate of Donald Trump. So Trump’s famous tweets were, in substance, true.

UPDATE: We are now starting to get a picture of how sinister this whole Democratic Party misinformation campaign is. Through the last half of 2016, the Obama administration was desperately searching for evidence of some link between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia. They went to the length of seeking (twice, reportedly) and finally obtaining a FISA order that allowed them to spy on at least one insignificant Trump associate.
In addition, we now know that Susan Rice headed up an operation whereby raw NSA intelligence was sifted for names of Trump associates, no doubt in hopes of uncovering dirt of some sort.* And we also know that these efforts came up dry. The Obama administration found no compromising information about Trump or any of his associates.
Nevertheless, ever since the Inauguration the Democratic Party, especially its press wing in Washington and New York, has relentlessly pushed the Trump/Russia story. What story? There isn’t one. But that hasn’t stopped Democrats in the press from talking about little else for the last three months.
And yet, all along, the Democrats have known that their spying produced nothing. This whole story is almost unbelievably sordid. The relevant Congressional committees should investigate thoroughly, and criminal prosecutions should follow where laws have been broken.
It is time to get to the bottom of the Obama spy scandal.

From what I understand Carter Page never was with the campaign or the transition team. The Carter Page thing is another imaginary strawman.
Even though Obama and minions knew Clinton would be elected, they could not help themselves in spying on Trump...
It is the nature of liberal democrats....
Did they pick Carter Page because they thought he was the Mist likely conduit to the “Russians” or because they wanted someone the FISA court wouldn’t recognize and be able to tap any communications he might have, including Trump himself? If they had asked to tap Trump or someone well known in his inner circle they might have not gotten the usual FISA rubber stamp.
They claimed he was an agent of a foreign power to get that warrant.
Someone should be looking at the info that used to go on that fishing expedition.

They will continue to lie. Comey will continue to side with them and do nothing, which signals the left the lies are to be believed. The media will continue to believe the lies. The dems will not stop and Trump is getting a lesson on how to survive in a hostile world. He needs support and prayers!
No but he was an informal economic advisor. He probably spoke with various members of the Trump team during the campaign and transition. He was low enough on the totem pole to not raise too many red flags but by monitoring his communications who knows who else they'd be able to listen in on.
This whole damned thing stinks to high heaven and I pray we see justice here.
Oh now. This is big, CNN says. Justified because the FBI was investigating his ties as a spy for Russia, trying to impact the campaign.

They make an unfounded accusation in order to get a FISA warrant, then use the same pretext to monitor everybody he knows.............

I agree with you. Nothing will be done about this. Obama never appointed anyone who was not a fellow traveler. He appointed Comey. As for Congressional investigations, they are almost universally useless, meant more for Congressional posturing than anything else. Once in a long while they may produce something of genuine value, but more by accident than design. It would take an honest and fair FBI to investigate, and in a timely manner. We haven’t had an honest, fair FBI in decades, if ever.
This is exactly why Sessions should not have recused himself.
Now he can’t order the FBI to cough up their evidence.
People need to be convicted and sentenced to lifetime or worse for these crimes against the people of the United States.
These type tactics may have been used to obtain compromising information used to blackmail Chief Justice John Roberts when his ruling saved Obamacare. Obama has no moral compass.
Did the FISA warrant include EVERYONE he was in contact with?
