Judge Willet was also skeptical about who Trump would nominate to the court

It's a matter of degree. Cruz made it an aggressively assertive point over and over, his certainty that Trump would choose Liberals. Cruz's unlikability, the more he appeared in the public eye, stems in part from his stridency and cocksureness.

You seemed overly upset that Cruz practiced politics against his opponent. Trump said a lot of unsavory things that weren’t true about his opponents as well. It’s all politics. And given Trump’s history, comments about his sister — and a number of issues important to social conservatives, I find Cruz’s accusation on this issue to be tame. Anyone bringing this up after so much water under the bridge, here, is looking for something other than a discussion. That’s sad and unfortunate when you consider what we’re now facing as the real opposition.

Janice Rogers Brown came to my mind immediately. Are there any minorities on this list?

Not overly upset, but decidedly turned off to a man I had supported, including financially. And I was making an observation, not really seeking a discussion.

I’m a little disappointed Sessions isn’t on that list. But he may not want it. But he’d be an excellent justice.

Sure, Scalia was a fine justice, as is Clearance Thomas.

You are trying to put the wrong spin on this. How do you change the effects of the graduates of these two schools? Make it impossible for them to get on to the District courts, state courts, etc. Make those who want to apply and attend these schools think twice about going there. Then maybe they will change the ideology of the materials they are teaching.

You make a Harvard and Yale law degree a ticket to Juris Doctor obscurity.... lower than going to Podunk State Law School.

You are not going to change the philosophy of the instructors there until it becomes apparent that their graduates will have a hard time securing work in the real world. The Board of Regents needs to be feeling the pinch to their endowments and donations from Alumnus dry up due to the fact that they have not the resources to put into them.

It has to be a blanket “persona non grata” with a Harvard or Yale Law degree.

If I had as complex a business as Trump’s, always starting new enterprises and his ongoing enterprises at risk, I would never release my full records. It could lead to a lot of very negative exposure business wise, not criminal related.

“And that is how Trump is putting pressure on Clinton and Sanders to name their choices for the bench. It’s one-upmanship and forces them to play cards they would both prefer to hold close to their respective vests.

A good chess move on Trump’s part.

Indeed.Yet ANOTHER brilliant chess move by Trump! Trump keeps forcing Hillary to play Trump’s game, and Trump’s game is ALWAYS a win-win strategy for himself and a lose-lose strategy for his opponent.

In this case, Hillary is screwed whether she names justices or doesn’t. If she doesn’t, she’s the one that gets painted as being secretive, nefarious, and incapable of being Presidential. If she does, then the whole world gets to the see exactly what kind of communist scum she has in mind to destroy what remains of the Constitution.

Trump has already played this exact move with his earlier foreign policy announcement, which forces Hillary to take a stand one way or the other on each of Trump’s foreign policy points and defend her position for taking the opposite stance. This is on the back burner for now, but it’s going to come back and bite her in the ass big time, especially in the Presidential debates.

He also says Trump would nominate liberal judges which is now a LIE too.

Trump hasn't nominated anyone to SCOTUS. Until he does, we can't determine that.

“Gave their permission to be on the list...”

Seriously? This is quite an honor to even be suggested to be on a US Supreme Court list. I guarantee these jurists are strutting like peacocks right now!

Talk about a career boost!!!

Trouble reading? He lied about supporting the party’s nominee. Broken pledge= LIE.

Funny, I didn't know that the Republican Party already had their convention and named their nominee. Please fill me in when this happened. Or do you have a time machine that you've also lent to Cruz?

He also says Trump would nominate liberal judges which is now a LIE too.

Trump has nominated judges? Wow, not only has the "R" national convention been held escaping my notice, but Trump has been elected and is already filling Scalia's seat. Someone wake me up when these things happen!!

Nothing has happened until it happens.

What about my posting history makes you think I want my country destroyed via the SCOTUS?

What a moronic thing to say.
