Great catch, and ALL VERY CONFIRMABLE.
...unless the Senate returns to the Dems, and Chuckie Schumer takes charge. A conservative pick would never receive a majority in that case. Bork version 2.0.

Don Willett is not only a solid conservative, he is 49. He could have over 30 years on the bench. But, would he drink the Potomac water and become a Roberts?

Although I did like him in Greased Lightning (wasn't that also Han Solo's ship in Star Grease?)
For me, that's over my head and long long ago and far far away.

One/Two (Thomas) out of nine is not a good record overall.

Judge Napolitano just said Pryor is the closest on the list to Scalia. But, did say they all are in the mold of Scalia.
Just as long as DJT's appointee to the high court doesn't go off and die at some secret-handshake kind of hunting ranchhouse under still-unexplained and peculiar circumstances and IN TEXAS of all the places in the world to choose to die.

Republican picks:
Earl Warren (1000% liberal)
Harry Blackmun (huge liberal, gave us abortion on demand)
David Souter (liberal)
Anthony Kennedy (liberal, conservative, who knows)
John Roberts (stealth liberal?)
Oh yeah, there were also some good ones.

Are they usually prompt with a DDOS? I’ve got important things to think about doing and am not very patient about this.

Ever read Bork’s book? He predicted the future 40 years ahead of time.

Here in Idaho we now have State-wide Constitutional Carry...meaning concealed carry with no permit.
We also have state wide open carry.
And a darn good conceal carry permit law as well...which the latest Constitutional Carry pretty much eclipsed, though for special purposes people still get the permit.

Another article on the same topic:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/19/us/politics/donald-trump-supreme-court-nominees.html?_r=0
“he would look for someone in the mold of Mr. Scalia and later promising to furnish some prospective candidates.
Mr. Trump said in a statement that his short list is representative of the kind of constitutional principles I value and, as president, I plan to use this list as a guide to nominate our next United States Supreme Court justices.
Mr. Trumps list includes the names of several judges who are regular favorites of conservative legal scholars and appointees of President George W. Bush.
According to a list released by the campaign, Mr. Trumps potential nominees include several federal judges: Steven M. Colloton of Iowa; Raymond W. Gruender of Missouri; Thomas M. Hardiman of Pennsylvania; William H. Pryor Jr. of Alabama, Diane Sykes of Wisconsin; and Raymond M. Kethledge of Michigan; and several state Supreme Court justices: Allison H. Eid of Colorado; Joan Larsen of Michigan; Thomas Lee of Utah; David Stras of Minnesota; and Don Willett of Texas.”

From the NY Times article, the link to which I posted a little earlier on this thread — re liberal groups who hate his choices:
“Nan Aron, the president of the liberal Alliance for Justice Action Council, deplored Mr. Trumps choice of potential justices as dangerous, noting that her group had opposed several of the Bush appointees. Her group had not researched some of the state judges yet, she said.
The list includes some of the most extreme conservatives on the federal bench today, she said. Their opinions demonstrate open hostility to Americans rights and liberties, including reproductive justice and environmental, consumer and worker protections. They have ruled consistently in favor of the powerful over everyone else. They would move the needle even further to the right on the Supreme Court.

Cruz doesn’t want to be a judge, he want to be someone in politics and he still has time for that, if he would start acting like a responsible adult, instead of like a petulant child who didn’t get his way.

More importantly is who is NOT on the list: Former Bush administration Solicitor General Paul Clement, the infamous Harvard Law Douchebag who wrote the discredited article along with Neil Katyal attempting to give cover to the would-be usurper Ted Cruz on the natural born Citizen issue.

He would have been on this list if not for his very public meltdown during the primaries. People who once thought him competent for such a position now do not as a result of his unhinged and Lying behavior.
If he could have only kept his pledge to the party he might have been nominated but alas, Ted is still lying weeks after dropping out.
He’ll never get beyond his niche group of Texas supporters in all future endeavors and has probably reached his ceiling as a US Senator.
