Top Republicans believe Paul Ryan will be nominee
Washington Post ^ | 4/4/16 | Mike Allen

On the eve of the Wisconsin primaries, top Republicans are becoming increasingly vocal about their long-held belief that Speaker Paul Ryan will wind up as the nominee, perhaps on the fourth ballot at a chaotic Cleveland convention.

One of the nation’s best-wired Republicans, with an enviable prediction record for this cycle, sees a 60 percent chance of a convention deadlock and a 90 percent chance that delegates turn to Ryan — ergo, a 54 percent chance that Ryan, who’ll start the third week of July as chairman of the Republican National Convention, will end it as the nominee.

It needs to be a conservative and someone who will not piss of the Establishment.

I don't give a rat's behind of it pisses off the establishment, pardon my language.

The corrupt GOP establishment needs to be defeated in order to have a true opposition party to all the corruption that has been going on for decades. Trump is really the only true outsider that has a good chance at doing that.

Why do you think the Democrat Party, the GOPe, the enemedia, Wall St donors, etc are working so hard to try to take out Trump? I'll try to answer that is because THEY DON'T WANT AN OPPOSITION PARTY to ALL their corruption.

By actively an unequivocally stating he would not vote for the Republican, he is effectively voting for Hillary.

I have two choices, a box labeled A and a box labeled B. I pick neither. According to your "logic," I've just picked A. Another person following your "logic" could just as well claim that I've "effectively" picked B. According to someone of sound mind, I've picked neither A nor B.

Either you're a little dim and don't understand this (try it out with a couple of toy blocks of different color - first pick one, then the other, and compare/contrast with picking neither), or you're just dishonest.

We are not picking boxes. we are counting votes. Every Time you don’t vote Republican, you have effectively given one vote to the democrat or lessened the republican margin

It’s nice to pretend there must be a conservative to vote for but the hard cold reality is that in the Presidential race this year, the strong conservative is viewed with disfavor.

That loan was against his own acct and it was reported elsewhere but not on a required document.

Lobbying for unpledged delegates is always done.

I don’t want any stealing done from any candidate...vying for votes on a second ballot is fine. Nominating a candidate not in the running is a death wish.

Cruz is running for a brokered convention and is losing by millions of votes.

Be can only block Trump for the GOPe. He will not even get VP AT THIS POINT.

Theres no evidence that Trump will do what he says. There is a ton of evidence he won’t do it. He’s always been a liberal.

This is where many of you have fallen for the Dem Party/ GOPe/enemedia's narrative of Donald Trump. It's all based on what he's done as a successful businessman and not about his politics. It's a huge difference but many of you have fallen for it.

We are just finding out what he stands for politically and much of it is patriotic and GOOD for our country.

Quit falling for this corrupt culture's narratives about Trump.

you’re right.

And there’s no way i’ll vote for ryan.

i’d rather vote for Bernie and burn the whole thing down quickly than over another 8 years.

Yes, either embrace Trump and change or embrace total political extinction.

Actually, the GOPe will destroy the party before Trump is let in, and the voters may do it if he is.

Quite a Xantos gambit there. Makes you wonder how it was set up.

LOL You know that cause he gave a good speech right?

We know that because his closest relationships with politicians are with demonrats.

We know that because of where he’s spent his money.

We know that because of years of public statements.

The left loves Donald.

The fact hes running, getting out everyday and working, taking the abuse, the punishment, spending his own money. That’s evidence of commitment and character. He is keeping his word putting his money where his mouth is.

Shes sure would, because I wouldn’t lift a finger for Ryan.

If I get to vote for Trump, I’ll continue voting as a Republican.

If they toss him overboard, I’ve already cast my last Republican vote.

Wouldn’t make any difference anymore anyway.

Naw. Stinking dims don’t care if she even got convicted and was jailed. Then she could pardon herself and move into the White House with Bill as First Gentleman......I’m back, I just threw up calling Bill First Gentleman. . . . . I’m back again, dry heaves that time. He would be better as First Pimp and he will probably be running women in and out of 1600 Penn Avenue hourly. Dudden matter who the RINO’s run against her. Obama got 54% of the vote, so will the Beast. The same sit on their butts at home group will vote for her because they don’t want to lose their freebies.
