Donald Trump still has a commanding lead in New Hampshire two days ahead of the primary, according to a new Monmouth University poll released Sunday, but there's a four-way race for second place.
Trump commands 30 percent support from likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire, the poll found. John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz were virtually tied for second place, with 14 percent support for Kasich, 13 percent each for Rubio and Bush and 12 percent for Cruz.
Other candidates were far behind. Chris Christie had 6 percent support, Carly Fiorina had 5 percent and Ben Carson had 4 percent.
On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders led Hillary Clinton by 10 points, with 52 percent support for Sanders and 42 percent for Clinton. The margin of error for both parties was plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
The results on the GOP side were broadly in line with averages of recent polling in New Hampshire, with Bush and Kasich doing a little better they perform in the averages and Rubio doing a little worse. Bush was at 9 percent in the RealClearPolitics polling average and in the FiveThirtyEight weighted polling average. Kasich was at 12 percent in both averages, and Rubio was at 16 percent.

Hey but one more thing I’d like to bring up to all of you fellow freepers, and newcomers is this, eminent domain is a big big deal in Texas, almost 100% of the land in Texas is privately owned.
There will be a Bundy Big time thing when it happens to take ranchers land where their cows drink from the Rio Grande.
Yes, we could easily get an Israeli fence/wall from the Pacific to El Paso, but once you come to Texas it will not be that easy taking their lands and cutting their cows off from water.
Why would you say that? What has Cruz done except be a lawyer, and a ‘politician’?
Has he ran his own company, with a payroll that employees thousands of people? Has he worried about jobs in America? Is that why Cruz is helping to ship out employment in America? TTP; TPA; Is that why Cruz is trying to remove American workers from their jobs? H1B visa bill....
No I think the BORN HERE ON AMERICAN SOIL American is Donald Trump....
Trump will underperform his polling like Iowa but will win.
Question is who will over-perform?
Projection for over-performing their polling: Christie & Cruz. The rest - not so much.
Both Kasich and Jeb are too milk toasty this time around.
The boy in the bubble Rubio got called out on his tactic of jabbing and parrying to Obama last night to avoid scrutiny of his positions. It was too engrained from his stump speeches so he couldn’t do anything but. Iowa caucus goers were baited in. Christies aim finally got dialed in last night.
We’ll see if NH voters will be suckered the same as Iowa in 2 days.
My sentiments exactly.
Water for cattle and other ag uses can easily be pumped underground from the Rio Grande river.
Build the wall!
Next mailer: Each vote for someone who is not Ted Cruz causes a snuggly puppy to be shot and a fluffy kitten to be drowned. Twofer.
Lee Atwater’s ghost is smiling.

[Most original Rubio support is evangelical pro-life conservative.]
RUBIO’S answer on life was very powerful last night. However, his votes don’t match his rhetoric.
Rubio missed the chance to stand up for the unborn, when he skipped a vote on a continuing resolution that contained funding for Planned Parenthood until December 11, 2015. (Senate.gov) - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/2016-presidential-candidates/candidates/marco-rubio#article-12
Theoretically what we are saying is Rubio surrendered and said like McCain and Romney, “He’s a great guy and will make a great President.”
Projection for over-performing their polling: Christie & Cruz.

I thought Christie got more exposure and interjected himself more last night.
Rubio got hung up and took a while to get reorientated.
Cruz was Cruz, detailed/factual data, etc.
The question really becomes how those that aren’t political animals viewed the preformances.
Most die hards probably didn’t change their views that much.
If a candidate is willing to surrender on the one issue of existential importance to our nation’s very survival, he should be shunned forevermore by all his countrymen.
There can be no compromise - not even an inch of wiggle room, on the subject of illegal immigration.

The other major factor is the recognized border along most of the Rio Grande is the middle
of the river. A wall/fence will be built in some semblance of a straight line rather than a
meandering line following the crooks/turns of the river. A wall can be built but will
take some time. JMO.
Could be :-) While I would like Cruz to come in first (unlikely) or second (more likely), my tactical concern is that Rubio end up fourth: if he finishes third over Kasich that will cement Rubio as the establishment alternative, and if he finishes third over Cruz there will be no end to his establishmentarian jubilation.
Trump should definitely win. If he happens to lose though...I wonder what that would mean?
But I’m sure the media is going to build up his lead before the election so they can pull a OMG Rubio finished 3rd so he really won BS again.
Wow Ted Cruz is doing much better than I expected in NH. I think the media may be building up his number so they can deflate him when he finishes 5th or 6th. NH is not his strong suite. Too many liberals and non-Christian types up in the northeast...true conservatives don’t play well up there any longer.
I’m expecting Cruz to finish 5th or 6th...NH just doesn’t play well for True Conservatives. The media are building up Trump and Cruz so they can declare a loss if Trump doesn’t win by 15% and if Cruz doesn’t finish 2nd.
NH is the northeast...I don’t way much into what they choose up there. If Cruz finished 2nd that would be a miracle.
South Carolina is where he should show well and needs to show well. If he can win SC then he will win the nomination. If Trump wins SC & NH then he will most likely be the nominee.
Of course this is based on the last few election cycles...having a 4 person fight through super Tuesday is unheard of to me so who knows.
That boy ain’t right. I mean, REALLY, that boy just ain’t right in the head.
I believe Trump won’t build a wall along the RGR.
As Fiorina said of Santorum when Santorum missed a pro-life event: There is no way you can question the pro-life record of Rubio (or Cruz or Santorum or Huckabee) based on missing a moment of symbolism that meant nothing in the real world.
