Fueled by a big lead among first-time Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants, Donald Trump jumps to a 31 - 24 percent lead over Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida has 17 percent, with Dr. Ben Carson at 8 percent and no other candidate above 4 percent.

Yes, that's it exactly.
If Trump sent one of those shaming letters to me I drop him in a second. If any candidate sent one of those to me or sent one to anybody they would not get my support. The Stalinesque tone of that letter was revolting and shines a light on the character of the person who sent it.
I think both Trump and Sanders win tonight.....and they both win New Hampshire......then it gets sticky for Sanders, but Trump runs the table. Sanders has a huge problem in South Carolina with minorities whether he can fix that who knows. If trump wins tonight, the GOP has their presidential nominee. Democrats may go until Summer. We are so lucky to be done so quickly.
Last week there was a piece on first time Iowa voters noting that among them Trump was getting 27% Senior Amnesty 4% and “Not Surging Ted” was getting even less at 3.4%. So only a 31/24 lead for Trump is a suspiciously low.
Rubio’s didn’t mention other voters, nor put a grade. No mention of “Violation”. Not as nasty looking as Cruz’s. I’d ignore Rubio’s and trash it. I would let Cruz’s folks know how I felt about such nonsense.
I have only driven through Iowa, and then only in the summer, so I dont know the state.
I do have friends who lived in Iowa, and from them, and from what little casual knowledge I have of Iowa, I would be very surprised to hear that snow affected the turnout very much.
Maybe a huge blizzard with high-speed winds... but just normal snow?
I imagine Iowans just brush that off. Literally.
I think that ad focus switched because Trump was skipping the debate.
Wow. Watching FOX pull a complete blackout of Trump today. Its all Rubio! Rubio! Rubio! Things are getting seriously panicky for the establishment. Red phones are on fire in status quo war rooms across the country.
We'll see tonight. They're saying that with the new app they're using to report precinct totals that we may have an a winner by 10:00 Eastern Time.
Sanders has a huge problem in South Carolina with minorities...If Hitlery winds up indicted, the entire underclass will switch to her.
That picture must be fake. I see females in that group and everyone knows all women hate Trump! ;)
If you think about it, Cruz had no choice but to say the buck stops here over the mailing. If he isolated and threw staff under the muddy bus over it, he’d have morale problems going forward. Now, if his people knew he didn’t advocate it, they’ll be re-moralized as Iowa will wind up giving Trump and Cruz around the same number of delegates, unless the Trump turnout explodes.
Thank you for informing us of the distinctions.
I’ve seen posted on FB that Rubio sent out a similar mailing to Cruz’s but no one (GOPe) made a big deal about it.
That is because Rubio didn’t put names on there’s like idiot boy Cruz did.
If Hitlery winds up indicted, the entire underclass will switch to her.
lol.
I imagine Iowans just brush that off. Literally.

Well, when I lived there, we did. Maybe an hour off of school if we were lucky.
“Trump will win, but âThe Rubeâ at #2? popcorn time”
The unleash of opposition research hasn’t yet begin to be unleashed on Rubio. Should be interesting when it happens.
Rubioâs mailer didn’t name neighbors either.
Compare that to DC, where the whole city shuts down if there is a foot of snow.
Rubio's has the name of just the recipient. It did not, however, name neighbors names like Cruz's did.
Also, the Rubio mailer didn't sound quite as threatening as Cruz's. Teddy went too far.....
