During his campaign, Donald Trump has ridiculed a lot of people but no one more than Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who called him out on his track record of sexist comments in the first Republican debate.
Now Kelly is speaking out to say that the real estate mogul tried to win her over with some creepy correspondence before announcing his candidacy.
In a cover interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 45-year-old journalist says The Donald used to send her press clippings about her from time to time, signed with his name, and call to talk about segments he liked on her show.
Kelly says she didn't know why Trump had taken an interest in her until he announced he was running for president last year, and then 'it became more clear'.
However, she says that Trump's attempts to get on her good side were pointless.
'I can't be wooed,' she said. 'I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him.'
The married mother-of-three spoke in detail about her infamous exchange with Trump during the first Republican debates, in which she confronted the candidate about his history of making demeaning comments about women.
In the interview, Kelly revealed that she actually came close to having to sit out the debates, since she became violently ill the morning of the live television event.
But knowing that her tough questions likely wouldn't get asked if she had to call in sick, Kelly says she powered through the debate despite her illness - hiding a blanket and a bucket to throw up in under the moderators' desk.

Interesting timing - Guess she’s been talking to Hillary about Billy’s indiscretions and truing to help her...
Trump should refuse to participate in the regular FOX debate as long as she s a moderator.
So now someone complimenting or commenting on a woman’s work is sexual or pandering? It sounds like you’ve been sopping up Liberal swill.
This little stunt of hers should garner her another twitter comeuppance. She obviously didn’t learn her lesson the first time. Megyn is the kind of underhanded, self aggrandizing user that reflects badly on all women. There used to be a saying, “Pretty is as pretty does.”. By that standard, Megyn is ugly inside or just like Hillary.
Lost faith in fellow FReepers? I wouldn’t put much of mine in someone who thinks that Megyn Kelly’s tactics are above board.
Trump only dates Eastern Europeans.
Melania Trump is a model she strikes less poses than that skank Megyn Kelly.
Same with Rick Perry and some of these libertarian groups boasting of job creation. Most of it went to illegals and foreign nationals.
Go to foxnewscomments.com and let them know your opinions about Kelly, Wallace, and Bair moderating again on Jan.28.I e-mailed them last week and told them what a disgrace Kelly has become. All three are biased as is Fox. It felt good sounding off, even if it might be for naught. God Bless you all and Happy New Year.
Weak.
Looks like The Slut is trying to get an NBC gig.
Lol! Her "tough" questions! What a laugh! Stupid sophomoric questions is more like it. Bloody Megyn should have stayed home the day of the debate - her career would not have suffered as much as it has for her idiot questioning!

Forget itm Megyn. Those pictures were a little whorish, but you’ll have to go a lot further to get Trump Fund Donnie to woo you.
Double-up on the mascara. Work on your Czech accent. And practice saying: “Hey, Victory Joe....want to party?”
That’s more his speed.

So that was vomit coming out of her eyes and her wherever?
“Iâm in my sixties, and it is customary for people to send you a clipping of an article you may have wrote in a local newspaper or magazine or regarding an award you might have won that was posted. Thatâs class. Calling someone creepy for doing that is creepy as it denotes that she is putting Trump or whomever she is referring to, on a par with Cosby and Clinton and other perverts.
I have no respect for her and stopped watching her after debate one. Iâm sure she lost a big audience.”
It’s too bad that someone can’t clue Ms Kelly in to the things that you’ve just said. What was class and an attempt to congratulate Kelly on work well done was, off course, interpreted by her and every one else on her level as “creepy”.
I once had a poem published and appreciated the people who clipped it out of our local newspaper, wrote an encouraging note on it and sent it to me. Kelly, as a journalist, should have appreciated Trump’s interest in her work instead of assigning the crass and misleading description of “wooing” to it. I’m sure Trump has done the same to many people whose work he admired.
But actions like Trump’s were a part of a bygone period when there were such things as etiquette....and journalists.
Well said.
PS-How about posting you poem? :-)
BOR on his show last night did a pretty nice interview with Trump, and of course tried to get the last word on him, but he wouldn’t let him.
Then, he says, “Why would you do an interview for Esquire Mag? You know they hate you? Why do waste your time with people you know won’t give you a fair shake?”
The answer was pure Trump, and again shows us how we can learn from having a role model in the WH... He said:
“Bill, I never stop from giving people a chance to do the right thing.”
Brilliant, and why I love the guy more and more.
What a deal.

Well said, but you’re wasting your time with these people. They won’t give Trump the time of day or any credit for the man.
Here we have someone who epitomizes us, now and from the past. He is a true patriot and a true American.
He’s fearless like most of us and ready to take on the world. These too bit pundits want him to give specifics. He doesn’t deal in specifics, he deals in outcomes and being unpredictable.
I love the man, but you’re not going to get this bunch like the one you wrote to, to see it that way ever.
I’ll post an article or an interview that Trump did, and they’ll post a negative within seconds, hardly time to even open the link.
I’m sick of all of them.
Can’t wait for my Trump fix tonight.

Here’s one I wrote just for FR because of the times in which we find ourselves. I would never have thought, when I was young, that I would ever witness some of the things that I have in this country. But times like these have come to many others throughout history. I think that, as an American, I always thought myself immune and far removed from the kinds of threats we face today. I, for one, will not go easily into the servitude of Liberalism. However, I can see in my own adult children that the Liberal education system has all but overridden my efforts to bring them up to be free people like my Dad did for me.
