Exclusive: Ted Cruz's Warning To Donald Trump: "Policy Differences" Coming Soon
CBN ^ | October 22, 2015 | David Brody

Posted on 10/22/2015 6:49:14 PM PDT by Isara

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Ted Cruz says he has a plan to begin highlighting, “policy differences” between him and Donald Trump. “There are plenty of policy differences and there may well come a time when we start highlighting those more,” Cruz tells The Brody File. “In a political campaign there are seasons and phases to it…as the race narrows down, as people start making choices, we may see some more policy contrasts.”

Cruz has been climbing in the polls and has the money to make a serious run at the nomination. He’s been courting evangelical voters since his announcement speech at Liberty University. The truth is this: Cruz needs Trump to fade to have a realistic shot. The Brody File contends that Trump’s biggest threat is not Jeb or Rubio. It’s Cruz. He’s going after many of the same voters as Trump and he has the credentials, intellect, debating skills and passion to really make a dent in Trump’s voter pool.

One other quote from Cruz during our interview:

“I think the sharpest difference between my record and that of every other candidate is that people are tired of campaign conservatives. They’re tired of people who talk a great game while they’re on the campaign trail but they actually haven’t walked the walk and I think people are looking for a consistent conservative.”

"Ted won in a breeze. Yes, people like him and yes, he resonates."

Ted Cruz won because Sarah Palin came to Texas and campaigned for him. With Sarah Palin David Dewhurst would be our junior senator.

What’s missing, so far, in reading the responses is this: In all of the private meetings between Trump and Cruz, what are they discussing with each other (and, I mean EVERYTHING)?

“As Ted Cruz wisely said, they don’t belong here, they need to go back home and fight for their country.”

He could have just said I will strictly enforce all immigration laws that are currently on the books, but he didn't.

“..And Herman had bimbo eruption problems.”

Or somebody made it up. They could do the same thing with Donald Trump, and some of it would be definitely be true. He did cheat on his first wife, after all.

His wife left her job at Goldman Sachs because of her husband running for President.

Why did she quit, did she think she was doing something wrong?

I guess you missed the news clip, when his ex-wife said she fully supports Donald and he has been very fair to her. She also said the news is hyping from divorce proceedings which are ALWAYS contentious with exaggerated claims.

“....but Cruz has worked within the political system ....”

Cruz has already shown what a fighter he is, including his 21 hours filibuster.

Cruz is the REAL DEAL.

To be frank, it appears that everybody here is getting stuck on specific things that MAY happen if and when their chosen Candidate wins the General Election.

I find myself defending Trump on many occasions while my primary support is currently behind Cruz. I do consider Trump my Second Choice.

None of the other Candidates stand a chance, and I am getting nervous that the numbers for Cruz have not really moved up although he was the first to declare.

I’m starting to think it just isn’t his time, but he would make one hell of an AG and an eventual SCOTUS Justice. I never say never, (well, maybe I have at times - LOL) so I will hold out hope that something will give.

If it’s being Trumps V.P., so be it. I just want the Democrat POTUS nightmare to end before I bite the dust.

As to the topic at hand, the level of negative discourse between Posters is really getting old and I even found myself getting wound up in the back and forth. I am getting sick and tired of the bashing.

IMHO, People here should be supporting their chosen Candidate(s) rather than beating up on the Supporters of someone they disagree with.

The funny thing is, it appears that they are not changing People’s minds to dump the Elephant in room, Trump. The opposite seems to be happening, which I find fascinating.

It just occurred to me that nothing being said or promised by ANY Republican Candidate is set in stone, especially considering that we may end up losing the House and / or Senate because of the GOPe Morons who continue to disappoint us. Ryan as Speaker, oh please, they never learn.

If that happens and a Republican is Elected POTUS, his agenda will be rendered Null and Void and all this vitriol between FReepers will be shown to have accomplished nothing.

As usual, I ranted on way too much. My apologies.

Sorry .. I worked in personnel for years .. when you’re on a leave, you don’t get pay, you don’t get healthcare, you don’t get anything from the company.

You don't know for a fact if that is true of Goldman Sac's employees and her specificially. If you think they would cut all ties with the wife of a future President then you are delusional.

Did Senator Cruz really push for increasing H1-B visa’s 500%? Well the video does not lie...

Trump has a network of people from which to assemble a team that will actually get things done.

He thought Obama assembled a great team(and showed great leadership), so I'm not that keen on Trump's judgment about presidential teams.

“..his ex-wife said she fully supports Donald..”

At the time she was not so happy, and when asked if she would go back with him, she said NO - she could never trust him again.

I don’t trust Trump either. Sure, he’s telling me what I want to hear, but I don’t trust him!

btw, Hillary backed supported Bill when he cheated, but that doesn’t mean I have to.

I do not see Trump as a conservative.

You don't see Cruz losing either but he is, he is just not likable and the polls show that.

"Cruz has already shown what a fighter he is, including his 21 hours filibuster. Cruz is the REAL DEAL."

Stand by for in-coming from Trump supporters. I sure got mine. BTW, Cruz has done much more than that filibuster. What the Trump people don't get over his simplistic Perot type rhetoric is Cruz IS the smartest guy in the room, not to mention the most Constitutionally minded.

because the poster doesn’t have the intellectual capacity to comprehend-— he’s not mentally or emotionally of age.

It must really chap you when you realize his vote counts exactly the same as yours.

Americans like Cruz very much. Otherwise, he would not have received twice as much campaign money as Rubio in the third quarter.
