A former top aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) fired off a series of tweets Monday afternoon explaining why the governor dropped out of the race.
Less than an hour after news broke that Walker would suspend his campaign, Liz Mair — a former Walker adviser who was forced to resign earlier this year after criticizing various aspects of Iowa politics — tweeted out more two dozen tweets explaining the governor's demise.
Mair blamed the governor's sagging poll numbers less on the anti-establishment political climate and more on a number of strategic miscalculations.

I thought Jindal’s anti-Trump screed was particularly inflammatory. I guess in a week we’ll have 6 single-digiters nobody’s ever heard of writing a collaborative attack on Trump that nobody will ever read.

Don’t know all that happened on the inside, but Liz makes a lot of good points on why things fell apart for Scott....especially ignoring the base in this cycle.

The only candidate (besides Perry) in the whole field who actually enacted conservative reforms. But that wasn't enough for the FR loser-brigade which prefers big talk to actual action.
Sounds like a list that should include Rove, Rollins, etc...
The lady is a beech from what I’ve heard, but I will hand it to her in that she didn’t blame Trump and she didn’t blame the Republican base, at all. Very classy on her part.
But always keep in mind, WALKER HIRED THE SCUMBAGS that she’s referring to - starting with Brad Dayspring and also George Will’s wife - and probably a lot of the others.
I wondered if it had anything to do with his failed WEDC agency which is still under investigation. Something doesn’t smell right about this sudden exit.
Wish some of these other guys would take a cue.
They destroyed Michele Bachmann’s campaign the same way last election cycle. I’m beginning to believe that this entire election business is a circus. The candidates are puppets and any conservatives stupid enough to believe GOPee baloney about not being a “serious” candidate, unless you hire one of them, will be sabotaged by them. They know nothing but the rules they make up. They’ve already decided ahead of time which of the candidates is going to win and they play the game “keep the cronies paid” with the other candidates to keep their own coffers filled.
I no longer have an ounce of respect for any of them because I’m sure they all know the game, but none of them has the guts to go against it. They just hold their hand out waiting for their turn. Making sure to twist the knife in any conservative they work for on their way out.

SO not surprised to read that. Just as in the past several election cycles, the worst of these bilge rats swim from one sinking ship to the next.

Actually, she’s shown MORE INTEGRITY than anyone else I’ve seen associated with Walker’s campaign, including the candidate. Her points make perfect sense and she has now given those high-priced (former) Walker advisers a MUCH TOUGHER time selling their services.
