Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this morning and defended Donald Trump after his less-than-stellar interview with Hugh Hewitt.
Trumps foreign policy-focused interview was pretty widely panned for The Donalds loose grasp on the issues. On State of the Union this morning, Tapper asked Palin if she thought Trump got gotcha questions.
Palin said, Id rather have a president who is tough and puts America first than can win a game of Trivial Pursuit.
She added that the public doesnt give a flying flip which specific leaders are overseeing specific regions anyway. Palin suggested a good metric to judge candidates by might be whether they know the price of a barrel of oil.
She also dismissed the idea that the Republican Party has a problem with minorities, telling Tapper the GOP is a party of tolerance.

No matter how many times people say “Separation of Church and State is in the Constitution” doesn’t make it so.
Your laughable statement that you try to pass off as a fact is also a lie without anything to back it up:
“If the Conservative Sanhedrin can’t recognize the only Republican who can break through the media’s twenty-five year, undefeated, disinformation campaign, they deserve Obama again.”
You’re probably one of those people President Cruz mentioned will need mental health counseling after his first day in office.
what are you prattling about, dolt?
Terrorist leaders are fungible. The organizations are carcinomas, and do not require a head.
For anyone on the left to claim they care about qualifications after the know-nothing bozo they foisted on us in Barry Obama is just a complete joke.
As usual, Sarah Palin is right.
Go to hell, Barbara Bush.
Trump is not “tough” he is a thin-skinned whiner
I hope your right... I would really like to see Cruz as president, but I just don’t think it can happen this election cycle.
BUT, as Trump’s VP and after the team has actually accomplished something in 4 or 8 years and have done what they campaigned to do, I think he would be a shoe-in.
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
Presstitutes are on the run...... they need to stay out of the process.
Trump makes mincemeat out of them
His stellar performance with hewitz, the third rate talk show blabberer, is proof
It still doesnt prove Trump is a conservative, ....WHETHER HE IS A ‘CONSERVATIVE OR NOT, people like you will say, ‘Well, he’s not Conservative enough.” Reading this website I see Walker isn’t conservative, Cruz isn’t conservative and no one person is as conservative as ME, ME ME. Good, stay the hell home on Election day and pretend you are damned patriot.
"Logical facts." Most people don't even know what that is.
the guy stated if trump was he nominee he would support him. So instead you state that he will be sending Bush money. Gee FReeper you really are braindead, what has the Democratic Underground started getting trolls out to go after anyone whom has the decency to state they would support trump if he becomes the nominee. this is what is happening to FR, it is becoming like many others have voiced that it is becoming like the DU. so come on go after me to. since I think Trump is a liar, and would be no different than Obama.
I am really rather tired of hearing anything mohammedan inside my America.
I am rather tired of hearing that anyone mohammedan is doing anything to anyone not mohammedan, and still alive.
I do feel that Iraq and Afghanistan owe America a lot, and if it has to be taken pound by pound of irradiated burnt flesh, so be it.
An American presidential candidate subjected to questions, such as, “What town was Abdul abulbul Emir the mayor of?”, belong within the Trivial Pursuit box on the shelf in the Goodwill store.
A snappy answer from Trump would have been “I’ll name these terrorist leaders when 0bama names all 57 states.”
In our dreams! Hewitt would have fainted dead away. Trump would have had to imitate Obama from the’08 campaign.
‘Everybody just back away and give him some air. Can somebody loosen his collar? We need some water over here. Hang on, Hugh; help is on the way.’
Palin is correct. Being able to name the commander of the Al-Quds force in Iran at a moment’s notice is pretty pointless. It’s something Jeb Bush might know, or Hillary Clinton, (they will never be asked though) but it’s not actually a sign of competence.
Fighting Islamic terrorism is a game of “Whack-A-Mole”, who cares what the name of the mole is, all you know is when you bash one, another one comes up.
Oh, puhlease. If a Democrat or a “RINO” had failed the question, the “Let’s lower the standards for Trump” folks would have been gloating.
