The political class is seriously underestimating the impact of Hillary Clintons email controversy. They see it mainly as a problem of public opinion and electoral politics, where it has been increasingly costly but not yet fatal. The political damagethe drip, drip, drip of revelationshas been bad, but there is worse to come.
Hillary Clintons big problem now is legal, and it could well be insurmountable politically. Heres why. Once a political issue finally moves into the legal system, as the Clinton email server has, it moves forward with an independent logic. That logic will slowly ensnare Secretary Clinton.
You can already see it happening. Two weeks ago, the Department of Justice acknowledged that it has received a referral related to the potential compromise of classified information. The referral was not criminal, and the Clinton camp immediately pummeled the New York Times sloppy reporting that it was. But thats small ball and misleading at that. The DOJ is not investigating a civil matter here. It is investigating a crime. As that investigation moves forward, it will take on a life of its own, as it should in a government of laws.

But so far, he's on a 16 day vacation and nobody has heard from him.
“as it should in a government of laws.”
Bwhahaha
Ho Ho ho
Don’t worry, the GOP will figure out a back door to let her out...
But, he doesn't choose to do so.
“Obama could stop this at any time he chooses.”
Who do you think is giving the orders to DOJ?
I hope this continues into the next administration (Republican), so that Obama will not have a chance to pardon her.
The Donnie and Warren Buffet...OH BOY!!!
The pardon will not happen until she drops out, and/or until another person is nominated.
He could pardon her now.
Imagine the fear in Hillary's camp right now...folks wondering who kept secret copes of what...who will turn first in an effort to seek favor.
This is some grande intrigue and I hope one day we'll know what it was like in the Clinton trenches.
This is FAR more dramatic than Bill getting Monica in the White House.
Note the author is a professor at the University of Chicago. A Chicago mob hit? Remember Barky, hell hath no fury......you better have something much bigger on her thighness.
Why do I feel like this piece was written by a devilish little girl holding a football?
This the cure:
Tyrant Weather Report
Tyrants and their enablers will experience occasional showers of hot brass accompanied by brief but intense hails of lead and copper followed by widely scattered explosions.
Then we can talk about politics.
But so far, he’s [Obama] on a 16 day vacation and nobody has heard from him.

Speaks volumes to me. The “wink and nod” to DOJ are in, I would surmise. (at link: she [Lynch] will do that only if she gets a wink and a nod from a White House ready to sink Hillary.
The pardon will not happen until she drops out, and/or until another person is nominated.

Something I wrote a couple of days ago:

Please, please, please, an orange jumpsuit for Hitlery. May God forgive my schadenfreude, but it would be so nice to see. It would almost be worth seeing her elected if she could be jailed shortly after for a nice long term - preferably to die in prison. Few people deserve it more. Murderers may kill one person or even a handful. Hitlery’s actions are responsible for far more death and misery.
I can only hope that Hillary gets to the point where she realizes that she’s being thrown under the bus and dumps what knowledge she has.
It could get ugly real fast. Well, I can dream.
Sorry, that is wrong. The President has an absolute power to pardon from any point after a Federal Offense was committed. US Constitution: ARTICLE II, SECTION 2, CLAUSE 1 - "The President...shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment." President Ford did it for exPresident Nixon while there was still legal actions proceeding.
So IF HE WANTS TO, President Obama can sign the paper and that is that.
