Prosecutors Said to Recommend Charges Against Former Gen. David Petraeus
New York Times ^ | January 9, 2015 | By MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT and MATT APUZZO

WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. and Justice Department prosecutors have recommended bringing felony charges against retired Gen. David H. Petraeus for providing classified information to his former mistress while he was director of the C.I.A., officials said, leaving Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to decide whether to seek an indictment that could send the pre-eminent military officer of his generation to prison.

The Justice Department investigation stems from an affair Mr. Petraeus had with Paula Broadwell, an Army Reserve officer who was writing his biography, and focuses on whether he gave her access to his C.I.A. email account and other highly classified information. F.B.I. agents discovered classified documents on her computer after Mr. Petraeus resigned from the C.I.A. in 2012 when the affair became public.

Mr. Petraeus, a retired four star-general who served as commander of American forces in both Iraq and Afghanistan, has said he never provided classified information to Ms. Broadwell, and has indicated to the Justice Department that he has no interest in a plea deal that would spare him an embarrassing trial. . .

A 4-star is the same exact rank as Obama’s “good friend Chris” Stevens. FWIW.

And now Petraeus’s back-stabbing ex-deputy is a CBS new consultant, Mike Morrel. Who a year ago lied one way to congress, and a year later lied 180* the other way, and said, “What you going to do about it, punk?” and they did nothing. He was the CIA collaborator on changing the talking points, behind G.DP’s back. And probably was involved in the timing of the Paula Broadwell blow-up, which until then had been kept in the drawer and used for blackmail.

But blackmail also has a “timed detonation” use, keep in mind.

Mike Morell’s a CBS “expert” now. And that is just the tip of the icebarg with this crowd. PLEASE read 26-28.

If he had any honor, since he knows the entire truth of Benghazi, he would have done a Hackworth already, never mind selling the book deal first.

Instead, he’s been raking in millions on Warbucks Inc boards, which is the establishment’s way of paying him off to keep his trap shut.

That was the unsteady arrangement, me thinks. Now, Holder/Obama is launching a frontal assault. In South America, this is usually a pre-emptive strike, where the dissident politician is accused of embezzling funds and sending them to a Swiss account. This usually happens in Buenos Aires or Caracas about one week before the dissident announces his candidacy.

So I’m guessing they found out Perpetrates was writing a tell-all, and are trying to burn him down first.

Since Sharyl Attkisson’s computer was accessed and data was removed, etc., I have wondered if General Petraeus’s mistress had classified data planted on hers to keep General Petraeus quiet about Bengahzi.

Was looking at current pay scales for military, looks like a O-10/4 star with 28 years makes about 200K a year. But this is what caught my eye, an o8/2star under 2 years is about 120K a year. Can some one tell me how you can be a 2 star generalwith less than 2 years of service?

There is very little that could come of a prosecution in this matter. While Petraeus was wrong to have the affair, he paid the price for it and resigned in disgrace over it. Yes,he was stupid to have the affair, but he is way too smart to put anything SECRET or TOP SECRET into an unclassified system. Secondly, Mrs Broadwell, held at least a SECRET clearance in her own status as an Army Reserve Officer, and Petreaus had the authority he needed to share information with her within that classification. As long as she did not put specifically classified material into whatever she was writing for publication, there is no issue.

The purported prosecution is all about diverting attention from Bill Clinton’s involvement with the pedophile/ under-aged prostitute ring in order to protect Hillary. In addition, Petraeus probably has the goods on Beghazi from his CIA sources & after action reports. By prosecuting him, they can marginalize any charges he may level at Hillary. Plain and simple.

Did any sane person actually think that Obama, Jarrett, Hillary and Holder wouldn’t bring a war of retribution against loyal American military officers who showed Obama that we could win in Iraq?

Marxists always practice retribution. It is now time that our side do the same to every leading White House, EPA, DOJ, Interior, FCC and other govt agencies that pushed Obama’s Marxist agenda and betrayed our armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It’s the Democrats’ Vietnam betrayal all over again. I was there, I know.

There’s got to be much more to this- the two sisters of Lebanese descent with the overseas ties that the press loves to ignore seem to be escaping any scrutiny.

I suspect the discovery process would be very embarrassing to the Obama “junta”...which is why Holder is hesitating! Petreius has say he won’t plea deal which means a trial where everything comes out!
